Used Camille Rose's oil and it was amazing. I had a bald spot in front of my head...put a little bit of that oil on the spot also the area around it. My spot grew back within 4 weeks. It was also used for pre poo and sealing. Love it...still using by the way.
doThatGWalk Alma - stopped hairfall, so thickened my hair, and my hair is darker, I have very little greying as compared to 5 years ago Henna - conditioning and strength and thickening the individual strands, translating to much less breakage, I have kinky fine strands Fenugreek - manageability and less shedding, my hair has crazy volume now ( I protective style for 4 to 8 weeks at a time, and at take down I have a tiny amount of shed hair) Indian massage techniques - very relaxing and have helped me meet my potential hair growth, some months I can get an inch of growth with this, if I am consistent and do it with things like drinking a good amount of water, oiling the scalp with vhf, taking hair skin and nails and exercising. My hair looks and feels healthy and is much easier to manipulate being of the fine stranded, kinky coily, type 4cdxz tribe, thats an epic feat.
doThatGWalk I use alma as an infused oil, for sealing and scalp oiling and mixing in with hot oil treatments or deep conditioner's. Henna as a mask on wash days ( i love full strength treatments) and sometimes as a tea spray. Fenugreek as a daily moisturising spray, that I concentrate on my scalp first then the rest of my hair. Head massage, I aim for once a day when I can for about 10 to 15 minutes a session.
doThatGWalk Slightly, I have dark hair to begin with, so you can see a slight reddish/brown tint when I stand in direct sunlight, but other than that my hair looks jet black. I think the more layers of henna is on your hair the darker the hair looks. I have been using henna since about mid 2011. And I cut my hair super short, like clock work every 2 years (haven't done it this cycle yet, I am enjoying my hair), so it doesn't take long for the colour benefits to show. If you don't want colour, your can do henna gloss, or limit the time henna sits on your hair ( like apply for an hour) or mix the henna and instead of letting the dye release you apply the henna immediately to your hair or use cassia.
Lakshimis Cupboard is one of the newer brands for my hair care routine. You featured in an earlier video about black owned hair businesses. My hair responds differently when using ayurvedic products. When I bought it I didn't really have a clue about ayurvedic. I purchased off recommendation. However, after using for the past two months my hair feels less dry and stronger. I'm still learning the right mix of products, but very pleased with the results.
I mix my own ayurvedic oil because it's so fun to make your own :-) Loving it so far. Used curly proverbs' recipe but changed a few things up to suit what I know my 4c hair already likes.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Very well done. The things curly proverbs never told us. Got me out here looking high and low for all these separately to mix at home. Meanwhile, there are pre mixed products out here. You don't have to tell me twice. 🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️
Mink305 She used to use Gro Aut Oil which is another premixed Ayuvedic oil. She only stopped purchasing because shipping to the UK got expensive. If you watched her older videos, she did a few reviews on that oil.
Mink305 You mentioned that Curly Proverbs did not tell viewers certain things! You should never just watch a video and expect to have them spoon feed you information! You should always take your time to research any topic that you have some interest in! Google is your best Friend!
75% of my regimen is aruyveda based and mostly diy. It can be exhausting but is totally worth it. I try to have my mixups prepped before wash day. I am conservatively adding in some store brought products in hopes of having other methods to rely on outside of my diy mixtures. It can be challenging but I am always excited to try the next best thing!
Yes ma'am! Natty naturals is the bomb! I have used her products for ten years! Sometimes I stray but I still end up back with natty. Those products have never failed me!
This video came at the perfect time, when I've been hitting a hair health/hair growth wall. BLESS. I appreciate how you were so straightforward and clear about what you use, how you use it and gave us more than enough options to check out. I think I'll try buying some of the powders and making my own concoction to use in the deep conditioners as well as some of the oil infusions because those seem doooooppppeee. Thanks so much for this upload! Much appreciated 💛💛
The timing of this video could not be better. I was just getting ready to do an Ayurvedic treatment prior to my henna touch up and wanted to be sure I was working with current information. I will definitely be looking at purchasing the castor oil infused blend. Thanks for offering up some great companies that provide natural products.
This was right on time, gurl. This is why I love you. I am out of almost everything. Deep conditioner, I can't find Darcy's Botanical's leave-in (that was my holy grail for over 5 years) and I wanted to revisit Ayurvedic treatments since I am growing my hair out. So thanks for the Natty Cupuacu mention. Gonna order it and give it go! I only ever used Henna and I think Amla powder. Don't know if they worked since back then I tried everything. Now I know what my hair likes but I wouldn't mind giving it the ol college try. Thanks again. And loving the "let's Dance, Donna Summer" tease you are serving. cuidate
I could not find the brand of Henna I would normally use, but the Indian store had the Hesh brand, so I purchased it. Not too much put off by what you said because I have been using all the other Ayurvedic herbs by Hesh, and they have not failed me yet. This will be my first time using Hesh Henna. I love Nupur Henna because it has a mixture of Ayurvedic herbs. 🎈🌈👍
Wow! This is video is amazing!!! I have the Camille Rose and it’s really good! I also use 100% Amla oil (like an essential oil) and I add drops to everything from shampoos to conditioners. I also use the Natty Naturals Leave-In (Lemongrass). I have the Qhemet Biologics and that’s also another great one. I love your videos, they’re so informative!
I found mountain rose herbs back in 2003 when I decided to make a hair treatment for my daughter’s scalp . I haven’t purchased much from them lately but I sure will be going back now bc I trust them .
This video was so helpful because I've wanted to incorporate Ayurvedic products into my hair regimen but really didn't know where to stop. This gives me ideas of what I want to try and the different forms I'd want to buy them in. I actually trust your judgment and opinions so I'm gonna just go for it. Thanksss!
Thank you for this introductory video on ayurveda! I was excited when I saw you holding the Camille Rose Oil bottle. I started using their products 6 months ago and was blown away! Most moisturizing products I've ever tried!!! But I stopped going to the salon a year ago and was unable to maintain a good moisture protein balance. As a result, my overelastic hair kept breaking and shedding... :-( Long story short, last month I started using the Aphogee products, doing daily scalp massages, and oiling my scalp with the Camille Rose Oil. But with so many new practices in my regimen, it's a bit difficult to know how effective the oil is on its own. If you ever feel like sharing your thoughts on it after you've tried a few times, it'll be appreciated. Since I lack experience with ayurvedic oils I'm not quite sure how to tell wether or not they are effective. ;-)
Géraldine Laure Assen .... thank you for Commenting!! My Hair is Always Thirsty & needs Moisturizing NOT to Mention I Shed like a CAT. This will be my NEXT PURCHASE.
Ahhh, your wig!! Yasssssss! I made the mistake, a long time ago of using neem oil as a oil refresher on a 4 day twist out. I will never forget the smell. Maybe I will try again during a deep conditioning session but my nose is still traumatized. Lol.
Ooof! Yeah, I've only used it in a rinse-out situation! But, I haven't really noticed the smell being terribly offensive, when I'm mixing my concoctions, either. Maybe it has a lot to do with how the oil is made?
Since this video, can you update us with your thoughts on the camille rose serum? I've been using it for a couple of months and I like the consistency. I like that it's light and smells pleasant vs my DIY mixture of jbco, olive/avacado, and vitamin e oil. It did initially cause my scalp to itch, but others have made claims that it had the same effect on them at first and then went away... not sure if that means its removing toxins or just having a negative reaction to one's scalp lol... but interested to hear your thoughts.
I'm loving this look on you!!! Very nice👌 And thanks for the info about ayurvedic hair care!!! I need to get into it and see what results I can get as far as growth!! Great tutorial 😊✌🌹
Awws I have Hesh Amla 😭😭. I’m so happy you mentioned Natty Naturals, I used to watch her videos when I first went natural! I think she stopped making videos or something but I’m excited she has a store!!!
I love the Camille naturals hair oil it has that MSM in there. I went back to that about 3 4 times. Does that neem oil stink like dead barbecue? Cause the brand I bought omg I can't disguise it. I bought the powder instead.
I love your channel so much. I started using Aryuveda this year. It has really been amazing. The only drawback is that it is time consuming. I look to trying a few of the oils that you suggested. Maybe I can use them to shorten my routine. Lol
could you use the bhringjai powder as a face mask? i ask because of the notorious indian healing clay that is used on hair and sometimes as a mask. thanks for the video!
I love your videos!! Do you have one on your weekly routine like what you do to maintain your hair between wash day?? Also I've started oil pulling again w00t! Bout to get tooth polish too
To be honest, I don't do a whole lot between wash days, but I've had an idea cooking for a video that would address that question for some time. Hoping to be able to film it soon!
Love it. That's another one that I keep in my stash, but that I definitely don't use as much as I should. I do have one video where I show how I like to use hibiscus, in this older video: th-cam.com/video/Nh4FMpHHsaU/w-d-xo.html
I get such a bad reaction to coconut oil. Can you make a video of what you like to use but without coconut oil in it. I know you love coconut oil but if you have anything without it.
The recall was in 2010, so there's a strong chance they got their shit together since then. Pun intended. But, once that whole scandal went down, I found the brands that I use now and have stuck to them!
I love hash alma powder! My hair loves that hesh powder. I've been retaining so much length and experiencing significantly less breakage since I started using hesh alma powder earlier this year as a deep conditioner. Rat sh#$t definitely helps hair growth! Lol j/kBut seriously, I'm interested to see how you like the Camille rose product and I was wondering if you could do a review after you have used it?
Thanks for this video! This has helped me to realize that I can easily add Ayurvedic herbs to my routine now! I had been so lazy about it -thinking it would just be so messy. 👇🏽da 💣
Nice vid ❤️ I haven't used Ayurvedic products/herbs in a while-may revisit it, though it may take some research to make sure I'm applying properly now that I'm in my loc journey. Infusing the herbs in a "tea" might be a fun experience and limit the risk of build up. Much luv!
Oh my God. Hesh has rat poop in it? I bought literally 15 boxes of that stuff, alma, shikaikai, brahmi after watching Princess Gabrielle videos. Lord have mercy
rat shit? I had to look it up . gross ! glad i always stayed away from hesh products. thank you for the recommendations great video ~peace and love lsj

Lakshmi's Cupboard thank you!! I just learned about your products through this video. Going to check them out now.
You're welcome Chynah:)
That's so cool -- thank you on behalf of my YT fam!
Lakshmi's Cupboard Thank you!!!😊✌
are you guys a black owned company?

Ayurveda, is a game changer in hair care. Love alma, henna, fenugreek and the head massage techniques.
Alison Zunguze how have they helped you?
doThatGWalk
Alma - stopped hairfall, so thickened my hair, and my hair is darker, I have very little greying as compared to 5 years ago
Henna - conditioning and strength and thickening the individual strands, translating to much less breakage, I have kinky fine strands
Fenugreek - manageability and less shedding, my hair has crazy volume now ( I protective style for 4 to 8 weeks at a time, and at take down I have a tiny amount of shed hair)
Indian massage techniques - very relaxing and have helped me meet my potential hair growth, some months I can get an inch of growth with this, if I am consistent and do it with things like drinking a good amount of water, oiling the scalp with vhf, taking hair skin and nails and exercising.
My hair looks and feels healthy and is much easier to manipulate being of the fine stranded, kinky coily, type 4cdxz tribe, thats an epic feat.

But curly proverbs sells her own pre mixed stuff though
Mink305 You mentioned that Curly Proverbs did not tell viewers certain things! You should never just watch a video and expect to have them spoon feed you information! You should always take your time to research any topic that you have some interest in! Google is your best Friend!
Celia Ford I'll have to look into her older uploads

I’ve been following CurlyProverbz and her Ayurvedic care videos have literally saved my hair journey!!
I’m surprised you didn’t mention Curly Proverbz or Belle Bar Organics. This is a great video!!!!
You remind me of The Pointer Sister's with this look.
Yes ma'am! Natty naturals is the bomb! I have used her products for ten years! Sometimes I stray but I still end up back with natty. Those products have never failed me!
Yeah, they're really underrated, in my opinion. I hardly hear people talk about them!
Thank you for listing the places to buy herbs.

FYI, my treatment was so damn satisfying. I followed up with a honey mask and my hair is smiling at me. Thanks again.
I love brahmi and bhringraj Camille rose òil is amazing and got amazing growth camille been in rotation since 2014 when i transitiined

You're makeup looks amazing
You should try 'Jakaela Ayurvedic Parfaid' (store on Etsy). I think you would really like it.
Will check it out!
Their stuff is AMAZING

Great video, Henna Sooq also sells quality Ayurvedic products.
Have you ever used Bamboo powder? I plan on combining it with the other ingredients in my conditioning process.
I love DIY, so my mason jars are loaded right now infusing the goodness! Great video very informative!

Me too! That neem oil had me late for work trying to wash that death smell out of my hair.
Ooo I was so mad that day bc I had to wash my hair out too. Everyone on TH-cam was like "the smell is not that bad"... No ma, that is a lie. Lol.
Ooof! Yeah, I've only used it in a rinse-out situation! But, I haven't really noticed the smell being terribly offensive, when I'm mixing my concoctions, either. Maybe it has a lot to do with how the oil is made?

Okay ma'am where did you get this beautiful wig?😍
LadyD85 CA What I'm trying to find out!
She linked it in the description
calibeauty3 TY!☺
Very helpful video and I use all the herbs you shared in your video. Have a wonderful day 💕
I really want to try the lakshmi products. My hair and scalp needs it.
I had no idea about this method of hair care, but ive been using vatika and alma for years. it's quite amazing! Neem oil is good too
What do you use now beautiful..I use henna Sooq..sook pronounced
love this makeup and hair btw!
I'm so happy you did this video :)
I'm loving this look on you!!! Very nice👌 And thanks for the info about ayurvedic hair care!!! I need to get into it and see what results I can get as far as growth!! Great tutorial 😊✌🌹
Thank you for telling me about Hess I just threw my few remaining boxes in the garbash.
You didn't have to do that -- the recall was back in 2010! I just found other brands I liked, when that was going on, and never looked back.
literally have a whole closet full of Hesh products!!! I'm going to say a prayer this time, but next time I'm switching.
You're probably okay! The recall was in 2010.
Awws I have Hesh Amla 😭😭. I’m so happy you mentioned Natty Naturals, I used to watch her videos when I first went natural! I think she stopped making videos or something but I’m excited she has a store!!!
Don't fret! The recall was back in 2010. I just moved on to other brands when that all happened, and never looked back!
nappyheadedjojoba Ooh ok. I’ll probably just use up what I have and then switch brands.
I love the Camille naturals hair oil it has that MSM in there. I went back to that about 3 4 times. Does that neem oil stink like dead barbecue? Cause the brand I bought omg I can't disguise it. I bought the powder instead.
What an excellent video! Your so pretty!
Ur lipstick in this is "snatched!" U 2 cute
I love your channel so much. I started using Aryuveda this year. It has really been amazing. The only drawback is that it is time consuming. I look to trying a few of the oils that you suggested. Maybe I can use them to shorten my routine. Lol
That's why I love the oils/pre-made ayurvedic products! It really cuts down on time, when I can't be bothered!
Thank you so much for this video!
Just bought my haul! I love henna and amla, plus a host of others! Mountain Rose is my fav!
Hey girl! How’s the Camille Rose Oil coming along? I’ve been deliberating whether or not to get it.
I haven't been using it consistently, but it is a good oil, and I pick it up whenever it's within reach and I remember that I have it!
Hey hun! I have this wig as well. What do you wash it with to get the curls to pop?
could you use the bhringjai powder as a face mask? i ask because of the notorious indian healing clay that is used on hair and sometimes as a mask. thanks for the video!
btw do you think the indian healing clay is comparable to the powders you mentioned? thinking of purchasing for the first time.
I just made my own Alma oil. Does sifting your powders and then mixing it with your conditioner take out the grittiness?
Great video. I needed this! 👍👍
Do you have any suggestions for shampoos with ayurvedic oils?
thank you so much for making this video..it's a God send
Loving the look
I love your videos!! Do you have one on your weekly routine like what you do to maintain your hair between wash day?? Also I've started oil pulling again w00t! Bout to get tooth polish too
To be honest, I don't do a whole lot between wash days, but I've had an idea cooking for a video that would address that question for some time. Hoping to be able to film it soon!
Where do you get the coconut cream from? Not finding it in the description box.
Do you incorporate ayurvedic supplements into your diet as well?
Could you please start making more hair videos?
Thank you for the information.
This is so scary bc I was just looking into getting back into ayurvedic hair/skin care and bam u gave me all the info! lmao
Can you use Ayurvedic oils in your everyday or every week daily growth without washing them out?
How do you feel about hibiscus?
Love it. That's another one that I keep in my stash, but that I definitely don't use as much as I should. I do have one video where I show how I like to use hibiscus, in this older video: th-cam.com/video/Nh4FMpHHsaU/w-d-xo.html
Thanks!
I am a huge fan of ayurvedic herbs both by adding the powders to my DC and oil infusions but I was unaware of the rat 💩 in hesh products. Thanks
As I said in the video, it was several years ago! When I found the other brands that I use now, I just never looked back.
Ahhh!😲😲😲 I have Hesh Amla. Damnit!
Shenette Lmao. So do I. But those recalls were back in 2010. Hopefully, they have their act together now.
Beautydivine is right -- that recall was a long time ago! I just have too good a memory for my own good, and haven't let it go, haha.
you should have left links, i would have ordered a few of your suggestions
I did.
Watched this video again preparing for the upcoming black Friday sales and I hollered again when you mentioned rat shit in the Hesh products lmao
Great info!
Thank you for the video
Please where did you get the applicator tip?
Off of some other product I finished ages ago!
I love ❤️ love ❤️ your lipstick 💄!!!!
omg lipstick is popping and I love Ayrurvedic herbs , I use them in my diy hair oils :)
I get such a bad reaction to coconut oil. Can you make a video of what you like to use but without coconut oil in it. I know you love coconut oil but if you have anything without it.
Thank you
I don't see the link for the TH-camr you mentioned, Duchess...?
Great content.
I just realized I'd forgotten to add that to the description box (and hoped no one had noticed, haha). It's there now!
nappyheadedjojoba 😁 Thanks
👀👀😫😫😦😳😷😷What did you just say about rat poooooooop?! I have the Hesh brand!! Ahhhhhhh😫😫😩😩😩
The recall was in 2010, so there's a strong chance they got their shit together since then. Pun intended. But, once that whole scandal went down, I found the brands that I use now and have stuck to them!
ife360TV Naturally meeee 3,DNT tell me tht shit!
She said that Hesh had rat poop in it a while ago!!!
USDA allows for a certain amount of rat hair/excrement in regulated food items.
What is that hair you are wearing 😍
Thanks for sharing 10/17
That is you natural hair color ?
I've noticed natty naturals tends to have random sales instead of typical holiday deals. definitely gotta stalk their social media lol
Good tip!
And hennasooq.com
Natural and organic herbs..black owned..woman and family owned
Thanks for this video! This has helped me to realize that I can easily add Ayurvedic herbs to my routine now! I had been so lazy about it -thinking it would just be so messy. 👇🏽da 💣
Nice vid ❤️ I haven't used Ayurvedic products/herbs in a while-may revisit it, though it may take some research to make sure I'm applying properly now that I'm in my loc journey. Infusing the herbs in a "tea" might be a fun experience and limit the risk of build up. Much luv!
Sorry. I meant AMLA oil.
I have hesh in my hair right now smh I thought it just looked like shit
To be fair, that recall was back in 2010. You're probably aight.
Oh my God. Hesh has rat poop in it? I bought literally 15 boxes of that stuff, alma, shikaikai, brahmi after watching Princess Gabrielle videos. Lord have mercy
Adrienne Wright I think she said that was some years ago.... don't panic :)
Alicia Sandy is correct. It was in 2010. Info is linked in the description box. You're probably fine!
Check out HennaSooq!!!
rat shit? I had to look it up . gross ! glad i always stayed away from hesh products. thank you for the recommendations great video ~peace and love lsj
You do not have 4c hair please do not claim a curl pattern that you do not have.
Rat poop lol
How you didn’t mention Curly Proverbs is a DISGRACE 🤬
It’s not that deep
