Taking the bikes out to grab some Teado drinks before starting work for the night. Myself of course riding my '23 F900R and Andy on his '23 GSX-8S. Still working on a GoPro replacement so I can clean up the wind noise. Review in the works for the bike and more to come! As the TH-camrs always say, smash that subscribe button!!!!! 😒

Which front wind shield did you get? That looks a perfect size
How are you enjoying this ride? Is it too heavy or does it have any major flaws? Highly considering getting it soon, upgrading from a 400cc.
It's a little heavier than other naked bikes in the segment but I wouldn't say its heavy by any means. Very manageable

Got my full option F900R 2024 last week. Can you list all the mods youve done so far? What tank sticker is that?
Only real mods are the Akrapovic slip-on and bar end mirrors. Everything else just cosmetic, like some of the tank grips, rear seat cowl, and removing the rear handles/luggage support. Cheers!
Just picked one up last week and I'm absolutely in love. Handles very well and sticks to its line. Did you have the cold starting issue by a chance? If so how'd you take care of it?
No issues at all. Avoid higher octane gas and keep it on a battery tender if sitting untouched for 3-4+ weeks. So long as you don’t try to fix and do anything yourself BMW is pretty good doing warranty work so just take it in when you have issues
Got the exact same model but 2024, I saw in the other video you got the Akrapovic exhaust for this bike, is this still the same exhaust in this video? Also, what was the sound like in real life comparing when it was recorded to the video? Lastly, would you happen to have any frame slider on? if you do, can you make a video of how to install them? Thanks
yeah same exhaust. It's more bassy and you can feel some of the thumps in your chest in real life, doesn't fully pickup on video especially on lav mics in my helmet. I just recently put frame sliders on, I can show how in a vid sometime soon. Pretty easy

They're fenrir mirrors, just knockoffs really. You can find them on amazon

amazon, they're FENRIR mirrors. Just knockoffs really but they work ok
The bike is heavier than its competition. It’s top heavy however it’s not that bad. I’d get a lighter exhaust, lithium battery and remove the pannier rails under the seat.
Definitely a heavier bike but not heavy by any means!

Love it! I'm over 3,500 miles with it now. And yes ! I bought it from Motorcycles of Dulles, great store
Whomever designed that white flashing light had to be someone that does not like motorcycles or performance. Super annoying. Very nice roads and virtually no traffic too. Something I miss. Very nice sound track from the motor and seems to have plenty of power.
It’s just a shift indicator light, comes set in midrange rpm by default brand new. I’ve since set it to just before redline and takes a few seconds to change in the menus. 👍

hiya! thanks for the vid, love your doggo! If you don't mind can you kindly tell why you keep that navigation cradle mount? i've never seen you actually using it (not sure if you even have that navigation unit). I recently bought f900r and it got it too and i'm thinking about removing it, but not sure if i need any extra (smaller) screws for that. Also i too want to remove those side cases mounts - do i need to put some special plugs to cover mounting holes or original screws will work fine? Thanks in advance!
I planned to get the nav phone mount but never got around to it. Doesn’t get in the way at all so I just left it on, don’t want to fiddle with removing the wiring to it either. You can just reuse the screws to cover the holes if you’d like, or buy some generic plugs from the hardware store. I didn’t bother with either since the bike is garage kept haha

I just took one of these for a test drive. I'm looking for a bike that is stable on the highway (for a 60 mile commute) and this certainly fit the bill. Easily cruises at "flow of traffic" speed, which is 80 to 90 mph in Florida. I drove the Ducati Monster right afterwards and felt speed wobble at 75 mph. 😱
Very stable, this bike is the perfect all-rounder. Easy cruiser, can also have fun and rip the local backroads or at the track 👍
The f900r has a steering damper in the front right under the headlight. The regular monster doesn’t come with one unless you get the SP version.
@@keltecdanthe dumper makes a big diference for sure. you can even go hands-free over potholes

What brand are those side mirrors are they CRG Arrow Bar End Mirror?
They're knock offs; FENRIR brand on Amazon lol. They have a adapter kit specifically for F900R/XR on there
Im considering trading in my duke 790 for the f900xr. But when I spec it out it's the same price as a tuono v4 base or a gsxs1000gt. Dilemas. I'd rather have the refinement of BMW. But better sound and versatility at that price is almost necessary.
i have f900r, i ride also a duke 390, fun, but neutral was hard to find, drive me nuts, rubbish. BMW it's more refined bike. I will sell and looking upgrade to S1000R(R)...Traction control it's amazing feature on F900R, also cruise, quick shifter and heated grips.
The XR versions of these bikes add to the price quite a bit. If you really don't mind not having fairings or wind protection save the money and buy the nakeds. You're definitely paying a premium for the tech and 'the BMW touch'

Thanks for the video, I bought the same bike last fall. I’ve added bar end mirrors, a short windscreen, bar risers, and a Corbin seat for longer trips. My last mod probably will be an exhaust this summer.

Best I can give is keep it fluid, don’t get stiff. Counter steering is king at getting the bike to lean quickly

i dont know why this bike isnt more popular...it handles well,you know in the twistes?did you find something annoying?
There's several reasons why it isn't more popular, and that's ok. I love this bike Handles extremely well in the twisties, very planted and stable
It’s because the competition offers more bike in other areas. The MT09 is lighter and faster, the street triple is lighter, faster and more agile, the 890 duke is lighter, faster and more agile than all of them, the Ducati monster is lighter, faster and has more “soul”. However the BMW has the tech, decent amount of power, cool sounding 270 degree inline twin, cruise control and more flexible platform of riding such as touring. I’m really tempted to get the f900r because it fits so many of my needs even though it’s not as fast as a liter bike.

@@thodoris3790 It’s 270 degree parallel twin. It’s just like the mt07 engine only with more power. Thats why it has the sound of a V twin motor. Suzukis new gsx 8s is the same way as well. A lot of manufacturers are going this route because it’s cheaper to build a twin rather than a smaller displacement 4 cylinder.
