My Marauder had this issue for many years and just dealt with it until I sold the car! I guess it didn't bother me enough.

It being the driver door got in my nerve but now thinking about it i dont think a key will go in any other door so if one doesnt work it has to be opened from the inside and locked before closing….i gave it about 6 months before getting off my butt and doin something lol
The rivet for the door actuator broke on my ‘03 Grand Marquis the other day so the actuator was flopping around inside the door. I managed to remove the rivet and use a nut and bolt instead which works great but the lock/unlock is still not working right so maybe I just need to try a new actuator? I thought the one that was in there was fine and my only issue was the rivet but maybe not.
