    My 2000 Eddie Bauer got so much moisture in it this winter I flashed the the thing up and it ran like dog water , ran perfect before parked so it’s moisture that likely hooped my coil packs, wires, and plugs, I’ll start with the fuel filter because I haven’t done it, then I’ll do plugs but before I replace the packs I’ll coat the pack bottoms in die electric grease and make sure no oil or moisture in my plug holes and throw em back in and test drive it under load with fresh plugs and filter , I always extended e36 coil packs life with the grease

    Great tip on putting tape on the socket joints. The goats are a great way to relax, I hope you get to the bottom of the problem

    I did spark plug change because of misfire had same issue when I put back together the next day I was pulling the coil packs to check with volt Metter an realized a coil neelar fire wall didn't get plugged back in .that fixed the issue

    Same motor that's in my truck (2002 F150) They are a tough motor if you keep up the maintenance They are known for coils though. The body on it is in great shape. Goats are definitely a lot more fun than fixing a motor. Take care

      Mechanically, they have a great reputation. Ignition systems are not known for durability, though...

    Im doing mine right now 🤣 ford really did their people wrong on these trucks, especially with all those irreplaceable plastic heater line connectors for that rear heat on the passenger side lol

    Man it's a bummer when you work so hard on something and it doesn't fix it. They sure don't make things easy to get at. Good luck and I hope with a clear head you can find the problem.

      I may end up taking it to someone with more experience and better diagnostic equipment. Besides, there was nothing to fabricate, and nothing fun! Right?

      @@JustCaidsDayFarm I'm trying to prioritize some things based on time required... I have the farm expo and two weekends of maple syrup festival coming up, so my weekends are pretty busy. I may try to put a new cylinder mount on my grapple and reinforce it a little.

    Good Evening Sir, that is Great Trick about black tape the extension tools Sir 👍👌🧐 I'm very sorry about that,,, Sometime putting in the back burner is the way to go until you find a better plan 😇👍 Cheers 🍻🍻

      I agree! I'm still reading about it, but it frustrated me enough I just need some fresh air. With the goats. Haha. Thanks for watching!

    I have a 2012 Ford Fusion. It is my work car. I had it given to me. It is in really good shape and is a really nice little car.
    However, you need to remove the front bumper to replace a headlight on this car. The engineers that design these don’t have to work on them. Kind of of like my John Deere 2520 tractor.

      I wish I had the time and budge to just build my own vehicle. I could make it maintainable for 50 years easily. I have big ideas, Sir, but my wallet only likes small ideas.

    I like the goats! We have a goat herder who contracts out their herd to the power company to do weed abatement along the right of way! Hundreds of goats! I find it surreal that doing a tuneup on a Ford V8 is such a chore! Henry Ford would be very upset!

      Engineers don't love end users. Cool about the goats!

    First off, somehow I missed you breaking the 1k barrier! Congratulations! Next, I notice the pressure relief hole in your thumbnail. Do you use the drill bit method or the hot needle method. 😂 I’ve seen that movie before!!!

    • @FabbedFun
      @FabbedFun  ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried the hot needle but blood just cools the needle too fast. Working the drill bit back and forth is best. I have pics/video on the operation but I don't think TH-cam would be happy about it haha

    Did you also replace your spark plug wires? A 1998 vehicle might have brittle wires by now. You could have broken one or more just pulling them off the plug. Check the continuity of each wire and see that they are not broke.

    • @FabbedFun
      @FabbedFun  ปีที่แล้ว

      I changed 7 plugs that I could get to. Good point. I have not checked the wires...

    How's she goin'? Too bad about your rig still not percolating good. It seems these days cars are made so that the regular DIY guy can't work on them any more without specialized tooling and code readers. Take care!!!

    • @FabbedFun
      @FabbedFun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I'm about to the point where I'll put up with a fair amount of rust on the body so I can still turn a wrench on the engine. What do you think?
