Great video, helped a lot, the only thing this and part 2 didn’t show was removing the back 2 plugs on the driver side. I used a short socket and a swivel right at the socket With a couple of extensions to get out that coil screw that is right under the fuel rail. Hopefully if anyone is stuck on that part of this job they’ll know it’s possible. Thanks again for the videos they were very helpful.
Did you ever make a part 3? Your videos have helped me so much. I love the step by step instructions you give. They give me the çonfidence I need to work by myself.
PITT DAD I use a plug socket-3"extension-2 impact swivels-12" extension. break them loose by hand then use an electric impact. new boots and plugs in an hour and a half.
Easy get them out you can use your spark plug boot or you can use a magnet and just in case your socket doesn’t have a rubber boot in it sometimes that happens it comes off
I wanted to see a video of him removing #4, that my problem cylinder and its so cramped back there... mines a 98 expy with the 4.6L. Thing has 375k on it lol but trans is good (shifts 2nd gear really hard though when on the throttle everything else is fine, from what ive read its either a stuck valve or a broken spring) The engine runs good except for it flat out missing on cylinder 4. I believe it may be the plug but im scared to remove it as I dont want to strip the threads in the head because I know it will happen as thats just my luck. And if I strip the threads, theres no way I can rethread it in the car as theres just no room back there for any tools, heck imma have a really hard time just getting my rachet back there to even get the plug out!
I ended up having some issues with my injectors leaking bad ending up causing it to hydro lock. After freeing it up it had a knock so I sold it, dude that bought it drove it and drove it until the trans quit lol (knocking engine outlasted the trans) he then sold it to a friend of theres that really wanted it because it was practically perfect inside and out which was crazy for the mileage, the interior looked like new. They are gonna put a new engine and trans in it.
How do you get to the one in the back? I have a 97 Expedition Eddie Bauer has a recessed engine and it's almost impossible to get through the passenger side rear spark plug
Thanks for the video... I'm hoping to do this work myself but tbh, I would've liked some suggestions on how to remove those 2 in the back. I'm guessing that when I get to those, it'll feel damn near impossible and I'll be cursing the heavens for such crap engineering. But yeah, thanks for the help. I had no idea where to even start.
@@landonpelley3715 ok thank you! Then is there any truck to knowing if you've got the new plug in there properly. I have had to change that 4th plug again and it's becoming a nitemare!
debbie brose well the new plug should thread in easily by hand most of if not all the way, that’s a decent indicator. Aside from that, not really, self confidence is super key!
Look at how old the video is. Now look at your comment. And now for my best advice. You don’t like it and think you can do better? Do it. I’ll watch it. Heck I’ll give it a thumbs up if you can do it better.

Thanks for the tips and techniques. Saves me a shit ton of money.
Yea man, I think everyone watching this wanted to see how to get to the ones buried in the back, the rest are easy, just a small careful disassemble

That's what I'm talking about this is a nightmare and I can't find a video one where someone gets those back plugs, coils any of it!!!
Agreed every video I have looked at the person shows the technique to change the accessible plugs and coils.
You took off the easiest one, what about the ones you have to crawl halfway into the engine bay to change?
Easy get them out you can use your spark plug boot or you can use a magnet and just in case your socket doesn’t have a rubber boot in it sometimes that happens it comes off

is this the same for a 98 lincoln navi looks the same under the hood....?
I think the same spark plug came out my truck and it started making a big noise and also was making sparks, what can you suggest ?
Do it yourself to save money but more importantly so you won’t get ripped off
amigo no tienes un video de como sacar el tanque de agua del limpiaparabrisas de una ford expedition 2001
I had a loose spark plug but some sling came out of where the black top goes. any idea where that's from?
Same situation here I'm at a loss
Nice....u made that look easy peasy.....lemon squeeezy.....
Thanks for making this video
How come you don’t show a video how to takeoff the last one on the passenger side

Thanks!

Those gloves are worthless for mechanic work...You cant feel what you are doing...That's what GOJO is for
steze48 can't feel what you are doing? there like 5mm thick... It's not like your wearing welding gloves. lol
@@annabellebadart850 5mm thick? that would be some thick ass gloves and u def wouldnt be able to feel wtf u were doing
@@matthewhall9692 she meant 5mil i believe for like nitrile gloves think harbor freight hehe
wow that 4.6 is like a down sized clone of the larger 5.4 everything is similar
Every time a tool hits something it's like an atom bomb going off in my headphones
Ouch!!!!
Back to plug you’re a pain in the butt and that’s why you use the electric ratchet or to get them out
If you want to watch a video where everything he does he blocks with his hand or makes it too bright to see with the flashlight, this is your video.
I applaud him for his efforts. This is a rather old video so if you think you can do better, do it. Or go back to being a troll.
4.6 are easy 5.4 are much harder to get to
Ok I have yet to see anyone remote the cylinder #4 on these Triton engines. Someone please help this is a real b*#%h!!
debbie brose you need three six inch extensions and a swivel joint.

None of these videos show removal of back plugs. Dont know what youre doing...dont make the videos

Can't hear a fucking thing your saying
I know this video is old and so is your comment, but why don’t you try to make a better video, keyboard warrior?
