Well over 1000 individual foot falls, some extremely close together (two guys doing a step together but ever so slightly different timing)! The cool thing is they were done separately from the shooting of the dancing. Talk about a shit-load of work!!!
Pretty cool.Just watched this with the LA Phil at the Hollywood Bowl. I've wondered how the orchestra gets so perfectly removed on movies where there is no multi-track mix available...
This is what it probably sounds like in-world. They’re just imagining the music they were dancing to, and the diction coach thinks they’ve gone nuts! 😂
To provide an accurate reproduction of the singing and sound effects without the orchestra for the purpose of presenting the movie with a live orchestra. For classic movies like this the work of separating the orchestra from sfx and vocals must be done manually from the original mono mix. That’s my job;-) No point really….just a bit of silliness.
