good to see new fans doing their own documentaries - it is always enjoyable to watch a fan retrospective of such great work... i am glad you did this for people who haven't seen too much about Thunderbirds...
I'm surprised it's taken this long for someone to do a Thunderbirds retrospective. It's one of my very favourite shows - I grew up with it during the resurgence in the 90's, and it's still something I rewatch from time to time now. Can't wait to see the rest of your retrospective!
100% it holds up. Removing the minority issue, which is really just a product of the times, it's only a tiny blemish on an otherwise magnificent product. People balk sometimes as 50 minute run times, but they don't have much, if any, dead air. It's always building on a story, always utilized to build tension or characters. The puppetry is fantastic, even today. The stories are always entertaining and don't get old. And it's never old to watch something get blown apart. Personally, my only gripe is that it's not interconnected enough. I love the few episodes which have returning characters or references to previous escapades, to show that International Rescue has an effect on people's lives past just the one and done. Ultimately: 10/10 series, which anyone should give a try. It's sadly relatively short lived, thanks to...issues, but outside of one episode which irritates me, it's great.
