Case 644 Garden Tractor Loader Overview

This is my Case 644 Garden Tractor Loader. This video is a overview of the tractor and what I plan to do with it and current issues.

Looks like a good functional 644. Does that machine have a fuel pump or is it gravity fed like most of the 14hp garden tractor Kohlers of that era were?

It has a fuel pump that is driven by a cam on the side of the engine. The gas tank is under the seat, so most of it is below the carb.

@@jimmckenna7882 Thanks. So apparently this is a Kohler K321 14hp engine but with at least one significant difference, that being a cam driven mechanical fuel pump, like so many cars once had. Do you know of any other significant differences it has from the K321 Kohler in my 1970 Cub Cadet 147, which also has a 14hp Kohler? Maybe they have different id numbers that I am unaware of? Or is there a subset ID number?

@@garypaul1033 I am not familiar with the Cube Cadet model. I do know what is unique about the Case k321 is that the crankshaft comes out the front and back. The back drives the hyrdo pump and front spin's a fan to cool the hydro radiator.

Is it possible for the bucket to come off I do know the 646 can do that I just don’t know about the 644

I never took mine off, but yea its a few pegs with snap rings holding it on.
