Ok. This bread does not take 5 minutes…throwing all the ingredients in a bowl takes about 5 minutes. I made this bread tonight…it’s labour intensive, but well worth the effort…it is by FAR the best bread I’ve ever made... I’m so proud of it. Kneading well for a least 15+ minutes and then rolling out, cutting and coiling takes time…BUT it is not only the prettiest bread, it is very easy to slice, and the texture and taste is outstanding. THIS is my new favourite bread recipe. Thank you so much for sharing your bread recipe! 😋 PS.. I set it on parchment paper to let it rise in a slightly warmed oven for 30 minutes , then spread on the egg wash and let it set again while the oven and pizza stone heated up to temperature; then baked it right on parchment and hot pizza stone… for about 27-30 minutes. Turning it once half way through. Perfection…. Hopefully I can pull it off again! 😉

I wanted to say thank you for such a great little video how to. I have never baked bread before from scratch, and thanks to you I now have an ALMOST perfect loaf of freshly baked bread sitting on my bench. My bread is not quite as pretty as yours, but I'll try another next time and see how it goes. Honestly, please don't be influenced by the naysayers because as a complete novice, I managed it just fine. A couple of things I'd say from my experience that might help someone. Understand first that nobody is going to bake a loaf of bread like this in 5 minutes. If you are trying this for the first time like me, set aside about 1.5 hours where you will be at near the kitchen. I timed my progress as follows, remember this was my first attempt. So, 25 minutes to prepare ingredients and knead dough. 30 minutes waiting for dough to rise, I used that time to clean up the kitchen. 5 minutes to brush on the egg wash, as I added some sesame seeds on top as well. 30 minutes in my oven which has a bread setting. So preparation took me 30 minutes, plus 30 min rising time, and 30 minutes to cook. Now my kitchen smells like a bakery. Thank you once again Schnell Leker Schon. 🙂
We made this bread today and it looks, smells and tastes perfect! It's like we just bought it from the bakery. Easy recipe and doesn't take long to prepare. Remember to spill some flour on the dough if it's too sticky while kneading it, but careful not to add too much, or the dough will become too stiff.

@@elanapodvalniuk нет!!! Не ждите его подъёма! Сразу сформируйте батон(ы) и накройте сверху салфеткой и пусть поднимается, у меня в 2 раза увеличился. А потом выпекайте.

For example, Adam Ragusea was doing pizza dough, and he kept 7 portions in the fridge to see how each day of fermentation changes the taste. 7th day was the most "funky" ;) From what I've seen, a lot of bakeries do their dough, and leave it for 24h literally in a big white bucket to develop, and they come the next day, and just portion it, and bake. There is a bakery in New York which does this "no kneading" method, and they are known for heaving very good bread.
@@jeaniemannon4036 You can leave bread dough covered in a bowl for 24h which is what most bakeries do, but for longer fermentation fridge is a better option.
@arijua It's a 5 minute video. There's no real such bread recipe that will take 5 minutes total. If you know anything about bread, it takes time. But this is probably one of the simplest recipes to make bread without having to use a bread oven, bread box, bread maker, etc.

Once we realized the conversions were wrong, it worked great! 300 ML is actually 1 3/4 c + 2 Tbsp flour (not 3 cups). Also, we used a whole packet of yeast (rapid rise) and instead of measuring spoons, we used eating utensils the same way she does in the video. It came out beautiful!
A whole pack of dry yeast means how much of yeast? Thanks for clarifying the 3 cups mystery, 3 cups is too much! I have just added more with an estimated ratio of each ingredients (sugars, salt, dry yeast, oil) and I hope it turns out fine on my very first try!

I’ve been making my own bread for just over a year now. One recipe I use is almost this. Except I don’t put sugar in (you don’t need it) I put an egg in & keep a little for glazing after it’s baked. I’ll try glazing before like you have. Also I like the cuts you’ve made. I love milk bread, full of goodness. Always on the lookout for different recipes. 💕

@@emav.234 I used 10 grams of active dry yeast. I find you'll get a better texture if you knead the dough more than what's shown on video, but still great either way.
@@128Tarot yes, you can substitute using olive oil. I'd say light olive oil would be best because the flavor is more neutral but any of them would work. The flavor of the bread would change if using extra virgin. But it's ok and fun to experiment.
A great recipe...made it again with some changes even better with an egg, 3/4 in mix and the rest reserved for glaze. Once dough has been given time to rise- I find it best not to overwork dough. Extra time at proofing loaf- lovely!
I let my eye decide- I just found granted extra proof time makes for a better more lighter loaf. I am no baker but maybe because of the egg it makes it necessary to get same result?

you gave me an idea to make my brioche bread... I will cut like you but I will not just fold it up, but weave them in criss-cross, I don't have to make then 6-8 long "dough-sausages" to braid them together, but I can just do cuts, and just braid the outside....

Mine was dry but I didn’t sift the flour or else should of added more milk. But the smell is wonderful. First time ever trying to make homemade bread. Will definitely try again in a day or two ❤️

Just made the bread. Need to mention that 3 cups is about 375g not 300g. I used 3 cups and the dough was quite dry, I had to add some water to moist it in the end. I guess it should be 300g for this recipe. It would be better to update this information. Other than that, It's very delicious. Thanks for sharing.

I made two of these for the first time yesterday with great success. I can only recommend this! Easy to follow the instructions and the results are amazing ♥️ thank you! Yeah yeah, obviously it doesn’t take only 5 minutes, but the prosess of mixing the ingredients and making the dough ready doesnt take more than maximum 10 mins so this is indeed quick. I recommend you try it.

Oh my gosh. So easy and so delicious. I make about 7 different bread recipes. And this is everyone’s favorite. I’ve made it like 10 different times and it always comes out tasting great
I have a question. You say 3 cups of flour and you include 300 grams. A cup of flour is actually 120 grams. So 3 cups is actually 360 grams. A Tbs sugar actually weighs 15 grams and you say 30 grams and 1/2 Tbs of yeast weighs 5 grams and you have it as 10 grams. Which is the correct recipe using grams or the specific amounts of cups Tbs etc. because they are not even close to matching and in baking this could lead to very different results. I have learned this the hard way assuming my measuring cups were accurate. I have two different sets and both give different weights of the same thing so I like to go to weights exactly when I can Can you please correct which is it.
Very nicely made bread. Just a suggestion, don’t make cuts till the end. Just leave a little scope, thus you wont have to struggle with the lose ends. Amazing recipe and superb bread 🥖 love from India 🇮🇳

I've made the bread with flour from Canada and the dough was dry, I made another attempt with a bit more milk and it worked perfectly, I called my bread "The monster" because it turned out huge in the oven... Thanks for this great recipe!

Mix everything, and leave for 24h, the yeast will do its job, so you won't need to knead it, but also those 24h will help to develop better falvor ;)

Sugar is there for yeast to feed on. Did it come out flat-ish?

@@emav.234 I used 10 grams of active dry yeast. I find you'll get a better texture if you knead the dough more than what's shown on video, but still great either way.

@@128Tarot yes, you can substitute using olive oil. I'd say light olive oil would be best because the flavor is more neutral but any of them would work. The flavor of the bread would change if using extra virgin. But it's ok and fun to experiment.

A great recipe...made it again with some changes even better with an egg, 3/4 in mix and the rest reserved for glaze. Once dough has been given time to rise- I find it best not to overwork dough. Extra time at proofing loaf- lovely!
How much extra proofing time would you suggest?
I let my eye decide- I just found granted extra proof time makes for a better more lighter loaf. I am no baker but maybe because of the egg it makes it necessary to get same result?

I will cut like you but I will not just fold it up, but weave them in criss-cross,
I don't have to make then 6-8 long "dough-sausages" to braid them together, but I can just do cuts, and just braid the outside....

Mine was dry but I didn’t sift the flour or else should of added more milk. But the smell is wonderful. First time ever trying to make homemade bread. Will definitely try again in a day or two ❤️

Just made the bread. Need to mention that 3 cups is about 375g not 300g. I used 3 cups and the dough was quite dry, I had to add some water to moist it in the end. I guess it should be 300g for this recipe. It would be better to update this information. Other than that, It's very delicious. Thanks for sharing.

Time for me to stop buying bread and make some! I can make some bread with garlic and herb, bread with ginger flavor AND cinnamon bread with raisins! 👍😉
I made two of these for the first time yesterday with great success. I can only recommend this! Easy to follow the instructions and the results are amazing ♥️ thank you! Yeah yeah, obviously it doesn’t take only 5 minutes, but the prosess of mixing the ingredients and making the dough ready doesnt take more than maximum 10 mins so this is indeed quick. I recommend you try it.

I have a question. You say 3 cups of flour and you include 300 grams. A cup of flour is actually 120 grams. So 3 cups is actually 360 grams. A Tbs sugar actually weighs 15 grams and you say 30 grams and 1/2 Tbs of yeast weighs 5 grams and you have it as 10 grams. Which is the correct recipe using grams or the specific amounts of cups Tbs etc. because they are not even close to matching and in baking this could lead to very different results. I have learned this the hard way assuming my measuring cups were accurate. I have two different sets and both give different weights of the same thing so I like to go to weights exactly when I can Can you please correct which is it.

Very nicely made bread. Just a suggestion, don’t make cuts till the end. Just leave a little scope, thus you wont have to struggle with the lose ends. Amazing recipe and superb bread 🥖 love from India 🇮🇳

I've made the bread with flour from Canada and the dough was dry, I made another attempt with a bit more milk and it worked perfectly, I called my bread "The monster" because it turned out huge in the oven... Thanks for this great recipe!
mine was dry as well so I added more milk but it was still dry...and wont rise
