Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 AC leak repair DIY

So my AC was hotter than Arizona in August. Can I fix this without going to a dealer or specialist?

Great video. Thank you. I keep on having to put in a can of freon into my girlfriends car about every 2 weeks. The car is old and not worth spending thousands to fix the leak. I am fairly handy so my question is can I replace those o-rings without having to take off the front bumper? I am thinking it may be bad o-rings causing the small leak as the compressor works fine and blows cold air when newly charged with freon.

the problem is you have to fully discharge your ac to replace the o rings. If that is not the problem you paid more for nothing,. maybe soapy water may show something while running but not sure

How did you get the R134 can nozzle to attach? I thought WK2's only took R1234yf?

Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram switched to R1234yf between 2014 and 2016 depending on the vehicle. Many people have converted back to R134a because its much cheaper and more readily available than R1234yf.

If you order OEM gaskets how many did you need? Seems like you used two so I would need to order two since they don't seem to come in a pack from OEM
