At 34, I'm learning that no matter how old I get or my parents get, they will always treat me like a child. I'm engaged, and when something happens at the house we bought, my dad's first reaction is still to grab his tools to come over and fix it. Honestly, it's nice. My dad and my fiance have similar minds. I have never known anyone else who, with no knowledge, can just tinker with something, figure out how it works, and then fix it. So it's fun to see my dad pass on the stuff he learned to my fiance and to watch them figure out new stuff together.
