Tejasvi won in blr south because he managed a fantastic campaign - he used every available opportunity to run a meaningful campaign - even a simple car ride with school friends - he converted to a very interesting video - all of these show that he (and his team - all very young people) are not just smart but very resourceful and quick on their feet - they give the generations older than them points to ponder (and for those like me a run for my money :-))
He had so many things going against him - every body asking him time and again about - why he took the ticket when it should have gone to the former MP's wife, why did he make the anti-national comment, why did he gag the press, why did he not have support from other mlas...utter harassment - but he took it all with great dignity - surprising considering that he is one of the impatient -millennial class...
Of course he is a very good speaker and has great connect with the young people of the constituency - which naturally leads to the older folks reappraising him positively...and seeing in him a son...or a young family member - he really manages to do that...
Against that Prakash raj only managed to shout...make eyes...insult and mouth idealistic platitudes which impressed nobody - even the NDTV exit pollster laughed at his persistent and empty idealistic suggestions which he made without considering if they matched with electoral methods/processes - like "vote for the individual and not the party" - people like him had a good recipe for a fractured mandate and were promoting just that... thank god these types were consigned to the dustbin of history (at least for 5 years...)
