I belong to a so-called "priestly upper caste". Millions of our dalit brothers and sisters are suffocating and dying of toxic fumes in sewers and wasting away perfoming harmful and dangerous jobs such as picking up carcasses and carrying feces, bearing unspeakable atrocities everyday. This, in 2023.
Our future lies in the hands and minds of these beautiful, smart men and women who have become victims of a distorted ancient system of apartheid. With these men and women, the future of our nation is withering away.
I am saddened that even after 75 years of independence, caste continues to be such a big deal in society, although things have markedly improved over the decades, and Modi's rise as an OBC who has risen largely free from upper-caste influence(except for perhaps from the RSS) is a breath of fresh air for people like me who believe that casteism is one of the biggest challenges our nation must face. I strongly hope and believe that my generation will be the last which sees caste as a major challenge. We will reject finally the bronze-age notion of ritualistic pollution and so-called 'caste purity'. We don't sacrifice children anymore nor do we chant hymns to raise people from the dead like we did during Vedic times, I am pretty sure, we can reject other bad ideas in the Vedas without rejecting the Vedas themselves.
If India is to really regain its position is a world power and and use it to unite people, we must begin by accepting and respecting dalits in an unhyphenated manner. Let's stop asking for people's castes and stop having any stock in what people eat and how they live. We are all slaves of the circumstances that we're born into. Let us learn to appreciate the individual for what they are rather than what they were born into, and our country will soon be on its way.

We used to give vote to mulayam or SP from a long time even we know they do nothing for us , 2 reasons. 1. pressure from society (Yadav society) , 2. the most important i have 5 sisters and if we voted against them we will suffer . And this is the case with most of yadav in UP. I don't want the Gunda tag on me nor my family wants . I don't know about other yadav but we are not going back to that dark time will vote yogi and will make UP a better place to live .
