After Rajiv, the PM were VP Singh, Chandrashekhar, PV Narasimha Rao, then came AB Vajpayee for 13 days and after him came Gowda and Gujral. Then later AB Vajpayee again was PM followed by Manmohan Singh. Rajiv Gandhi died when Chandrashekhar was caretaker PM. After his death, Narasimha Rao was elected the new PM after elections.

To the BJP kids, lemme tell you some history. It was Rajiv who didn't allow Uniform Civil Code when the time was ripe during Shah Bano Case. To divert the hindus he directed to open the Ayodhya temple at Babri. The Sanghis then forgot about UCC and fought over the temple. Such dumb sanghis are that for nearly 35 years they fell in a trap to fight about a temple instead of fighting for Uniform Civil Code.
As if sanghis would have asked for UCC and he would have implemented. For a person who turned shah bano case for appeasement, to imagine he would implement UCC on opposition pressure is childish..
@@sndy2436 Sanghis didn't ask for UCC because they are so childish that they couldn't challenge the Muslim women protection in the court. For that they need some argumentative power. Which they don't have. The only power they had was rioting and destructing a structure. Sanghis can rarely put an argument except for someone in the south like Subramaniam Swami and Sai Deepak. Rest all just waiting for a chance to show how barbaric they are or in your lingo how childish they are.

Rajiv was terrible in the economy management leave alone failed accords. He was the one who ran up big IMF/world bank debts by encouraging computer/tv skd kits rather than encouraging industry from parts to finished product. Bureaucrats pushed him for reforms but he didn’t do the reforms. Despite President Venkatraman telling him not to stop reformist budget of Yashwant Sinha he played politics and didn’t allow the budget which went against the national interest. Ultimately Rao had to carry out reforms.
He didn’t encourage internet,mobile telephony, easier forex and removing license raj. All these stopped India from modernising. Reforms of 1991 took care of these. India therefore did well in IT.Rajiv talked of twenty first century but didn’t do anything while leaving behind a huge debt burden.
