SHORT THROW SHIFTER INSTALL | HYUNDAI TIBURON BUILD SERIES PART #14

Welcome back to another build video. Here in part #14 I install a Ralco short shifter. The process is very easy and should only take about an hour. The only tool needed is an 8mm socket.

is that lever that i have to pull to switch into reverse still there?
anyway, anyone knows if i could install kind of like a pattern that would show exact spots where i need to move the stick shift? im not native english and dont know how to explain it but something similar is in ferarri f40, just look up "ferarri f40 shifter" and notice theres that metal thing "guides" shifter instead of leather

Nice video man, I really enjoy the tiburon series. I have a 2005 2.0L tiburon and one thing I am stuck on is the timing belt. It needs replacement very soon before it snaps and seizes my engine, but I can't figure out how to do this myself. Might be a good idea for your next tiburon series :)
Also, what shifter is this? I'd like to try this one myself
edit / side note: my tib requires some extra force to go into 1st gear, and sometimes won't go into reverse. I'd have to go back to neutral, kick the clutch, try again until it goes into reverse properly. Will a shortthrow shifter fix this?

My timing belt was already done so unfortunately no video on that. As far as your issue a short shifter will not fix your issue. Sounds like something more serious. A quick shifter only helps with…quick shifts.
