Arterial saturation is from the abg or from so2 on pulse ox ..normally >95% Venous saturation is from vbg normally around 70% if hb and CO is normal .venous sat is lower as o2 is extracted by tissues from the arterial blood and utility is mainly in septic shock where one tries to keep svo2 around 70%.
