Thank you Smita Prakash for holding this conversation. Concerns are large and knowledge builds up through these conversations. Thank you Dr. Devi Shetty, you are a true role model.
The problem is that not every doctor is Dr. Shetty and people don’t believe that doctors in private hospitals necessarily have their best interests in mind.
Best part of this pod cast was that Dr. Spoke about simple solutions to complex problems which can have immense social impact in terms of healthcare, employment and over all happiness, Smita should take all of these suggestion’s to PM and build the narrative. We highly appreciate Elon Musk for his intellect and doing impactful work in new areas , Dr Shetty is no less, he can transform healthcare education and care at scale

Problem with nurses leaving India is because of the Salary they receive when Compared to Abroad where, they can earn more and settle in their life... Salary for the nurses in India has to be competitive so, that nurses doesn't think of leaving India....
The salary problem is same for almost every profession in India. Even doctors are leaving India in bunches every year, though they have many more reasons not just the money. The country has to ensure that the best in the business are financially compensated enough, otherwise there are many greener pastures waiting. Not everyone has a great heart to serve without expecting much. In today's day and age, there are 16-17 year talented students preparing for NEET, with an already clear mind that they'll finish the MBBS course and leave the country, bcoz it's so much better for doctors outside India. It's the nation's responsibility to ensure that the best brains don't feel deprived in the country.
