I bought and imported one exactly identical to this (except the wheels) 30 years ago out of Southern California to Auckland, New Zealand. I loved that car. My first of 5 Cadillacs.
16k is high, keep in mind redoing vinyl to is roughly 5k, rust repairs are expensive being it's the top.. paint 15 to 20k.. im actually seeing this car being worth no more than 9k . Someone seeking a 70s cadi can acquire a turn key between 25 and 30k.
The hood latch on every 73 I've came across has been that way. I believe it's factory , most owners use a bungle cord hook behind the door seat once you fold it forward. I have one myself, 73 couple deville
What is that a European Cadillac with the brightwork...........it's a General Motors Cadillac with nice beautiful Chrome.....I guess it has nice door cards too..........all kidding aside it's a beautiful car........😎
Cadillac didn't have to use the so called safety bumpers at that time, but a few years later it became mandatory for all cars. Some people commonly referred to the flexible bumpers as the Jimmy Carter bumpers. They did hurt the appearance in my opinion. @@DavidPysnik
@@DavidPysnikI was thinking the same thing. And the 5mph front bumper was required on all cars sold in the US, beginning in 1973. 5mph rear bumper, beginning in 1974.

Hah! That’s funny that you say that. Yes, I have one & I use a bungee cord too.
Nice
Nice car, but its definitely seen better days, I bet some rather serious mechanical work will need to be done rather soon.
Was this car ever in Pittsburgh/Penn Hills, Pa? Looks like the Barone's Coupe deVille!
ticket?
I really love this car, but you are too high on the price.
With the imperfections and loud exhaust this should be 9000-11000
The car has already been sold for asking price.

@@rareexoticvehiclesShow you right! I knew your price was fair. Some people devalue everything. These are coming into their own.
💪👍👌✅️
😂 the hood latch is like that on all of them. I believe it's factory on every 73

Beautiful car except for the so called Jimmy Carter safety bumpers.
A strange thing to call them given this car is a ‘73 and Carter didn’t become president until ‘77.
