Cars in that era were such a pleasure to drive! You could actually quickly FIND the easy -to - find controls, and either PULL, or TURN them . Today, designers like to boast how many (TOO many!) features cars have. You have to touch a screen for EVERYTHING, and find your way through a menu - for the simplest thing! You need an assistant to FIND all these things for you, while you get on with the driving!

The mileage since that inspection 36 yrs ago is an avg of 250 miles per year and an avg of 1406 per year overall . Amazing!

It's hard finding these in the wild without somebody having put on clown wheels or moving the shifter to the floor.

The ugly headlights are terrible, due to US regulations at this time. Only Mercedes 280SE from 1970 have nice US headlights.

Amazing condition! Growing up in Sweden, 240s were obviously everywhere. But it's fun to see the contrast towards American sold vehicles. *None* of the 240s I've ever been in had either AC or leather seats. Most did not have any optional extras, so this is indeed exotic to me :)
