I just googled him on his work and when I saw his name for this show (that I watched growing up) and watched this clip I was shocked

just the fact that we got 3 kick ass X-Men cartoons in a row (X-Men 90s, X-Men Evolution, Wolverine and the X-Men) is pretty damn awesome
And a character who first debuted in Evolution wound up becoming so popular that they were added to the canon comics: X-23/Laura Kinney. Hell, X-23 is my favorite and strongest character in Marvel Strike Force (where she's an absolute monster once she gets going, she can wipe out multiple enemies very quickly, and every time an enemy dies she gains speed bar, which makes her following turns come around even faster, and she's already very fast to begin with)!
And somehow ends up being better than Fox’s X Men films (minus Days of Future Past, Logan, and Deadpool films)
I agree this, though there are admittedly there are issues with each series production.
90s X-Men accidentally got 1 extra unplanned season, hence why it was produced by Saban for cheap, which made it look drastically different compared to the previous 4 season. Regardless of that, its still getting revival.
Evolution had a planned 5th season, but was canceled. On the upside, the way it ended with its glimpses of future popular X-Men stories and elements makes it seem much more like a "open ended" sorta scenario that it still works as a great series finale.
Wolverine and the X-Men ended on a total cliffhanger that teased Age of Apocalypse and should've been the one to get a revival.
3 - 2 actually. Evolution is the only good X-Men show
x men animated series is weak in comparison and aged poorly
This is one the COLDEST Magneto Designs ever to put to screen.
But I'm still salty how later on they started having his actual face show more through his Helmet.

X-men Evolution is quite underrated, and I agree that it does deserve more attention, it as underrated as a show as 2004's The Batman tv show which is also quite underrated. Btw I also like this Nightcrawler as well, Nightcrawler was always one the most likeable members of the X-Men and had a very optimistic personality, one of the reasons why he's one of my favourite members of the X-Men. Not to mention that his dynamic and friendship with Kitty Pryde was always fun and showed how loveable he was.

i always love how casual this mags is. he doesn't always use the full measure of his power. just enough to let you know he is there and when he speaks with christopher judge's awesome voice, you know you are in the presence of power.
I absolutely loved X-Men Evolution as a kid and I was always excited for Saturday mornings just to watch it. His magnetism sound effect is so badass, I still remember it after all these years
So as when Jean's uses her telekinesis
When I was younger this villain was the most terrifying thing because he was so powerful and the presence he gave off was truly something else!
You know you have a good villain on your hands when its not his powers or feats that are intimidating, but his mere presence that makes you go "oh crap!".
Like Sephiroth in Final Fantasy.
Honestly this is my favorite magneto. I like Christopher “Boi” Judge voicing him, his theme, the powers he shows in this show and how his face is covered looking like onslaught, makes him look cooling with just his eyes showing.
This was the best animated Magneto.
His piano theme was so badass

@@ShadowSonic2 Well, what's the problem with that? Apart from the early comics, Magneto was rarely ever the full-on villain, and I personally prefer the softer interpretations.
The sound effects of this show are amazing. Magento's magnetism, Kurt's teleportation, *Jean's telekinesis...*

The best part in the Brazilian dub is that the same VA voiced the cartoon and live action, so we get a voice that we pretty much always associate with magneto

In the series I don't think Magneto ever intended to harm Xavier, so I think we can assume he just thought he was safe.

6:23 Love the little touch of Magneto being the one to help Charles down the stairs and Charles not even flinching. Really shows that despite everything, these two still trust each other with their lives.

Those two scenes and those two pieces of music were always my favourite as a child. I used to watch it over and over just to hear it.

the only place other than the comics you'll see a well realized Magneto, Mystique, Rouge, Jean, and "New Mutants"/students
Exactly so as how the productions really thought about how they're powers should be shown on screen specifically Jean's telekinesis which includes psionic shield and and the telepathic abilities. Also I loved how they remade Storm's personality and aura, whereas she's shown as modern weather Goddess.

I knew the voice sounded familiar when I re-watched the series recently and heard Magneto say "boy".

Wish there was some technology that would allow the deaf to understand what is being said. Seems there used to be closed captioning that could be turned on and off as desired.

It’s strange, seeing how Magneto was voiced by Christopher Judge, who also voiced Kratos during the God of War Norse Duology. And Magneto the stern and sometimes abusive father of Inuyasha (Quick Silver) and Sango (Scarlet Witch) just like he was the stern and sometimes abusive father to Arteus.

He was more powerful in X-Men 1990s. Able to block Scott's optic blast and Storms, lightning with his electro magnetic shield. Use electro magnetic pulse as shockwaves. Still love him here though.
This one pulled Satellites from orbit, that's at least as powerful
@@ShadowSonic2 yes but he can't create electromagnetic shield that blocks cyclop's optic blast and storm's lightning. He can't create electromagnetic pulse which acts like a shockwave. He is not invulnerable to electricity.
@@charviemolejon5540 Actually, I think he can do that stuff here. It's just that in the instances where he could, someone else more powerful neutralized him first. Like Wanda during the Sentinel battle.
