a lot of people don't know this but mystique is actually immune to telepathy and psychic scans. it is immensely difficult to read her, hence why in the movies Xavier would try (and almost always fail) to read her. her getting the sneak on emma is actually pretty plausible, especially if she was disguised as someone emma would've trusted and therefore not scanned. its not a writing flaw or poor representation, telepathic resistance is one of her canon powers it just rarely mentioned
No she's not 😆🤣🤣. She just can't be easily read and scan. She has an erratic mind but not immune to attack

That was one of the things I loved in that episode. It sucks to high heaven that we never got season 2. If only there was a season 2, then I would’ve loved to see more of Mystique.

Mystique is a great character with such interesting history and motivations. Sucks she was relegated to revolve around Wolverine here

She is skilled in martial arts and her kicks are fast and lethal as shown in X-men 1 when Mystique was played by Rebecca Romijin Unluckily they replace her with Jennifer Lawrence

Mystique cannot copy the powers of others. When she turned into Colossus she had super strength and she cannot copy Wolverine's adamantium.
And the way she defeated the X-men was very poor, specially Storm and Emma. She should be able to manifest sharp knives and turn into creatures to be more deadly tho.
I think she should be able to replicate adamantium since it’s just another substance.
She can copy the physical powers of others like wolverine's claws and can fly as Angel. Also Colossus super strength. But she can't copy the lightning/telekinetic power like Storm/scarlet witch. Also when she shapeshifts into Wolverine she has a healing factor as well.

I would love to see the MCU version of Mystique be more like this tbh, i.e.:
- *light blue skin* (I didn't enjoy how dark & wet the blue was in most of the Fox films tbh)
- *wears a costume/ clothing even in her natural blue form* (if only to save the actress who plays her from hours of makeup)
- *works for Magneto, but is also an independent character w/ her own stories*
- *skilled, powerful fighter & expert spy*
- *resistant to telepathy, but can't fool Wolverine's sense of smell* , etc.

This Mystique made no sense. So when she shape shifts into Colossus, she gets super strength & is able to smash into the solid ground? And what about when she shape shifts into Logan? Her claws are metallic?

I don't think the claws become strong, I remember in the first X-Men movie when she turned into Logan and her claws broke

i mean for emma it might make more sense to know that since mystique's cells are constantly shifting, reconstructing n reforming it probably makes it much more difficult to affect her with telepathy, since if her brain cells were always reforming it'd be extremely hard to read her. her constant cell reconstruction is also why she's technically immortal n has a pretty fast regenerative healing factor.

I have one question that been wrapped around my head.. if mystique can shape shifting which is basically mean it change her biological body. Why can't she have another mutant power since she can change her biology body to have X gene of another mutant?
Uhh let me try to explain it like this think of it as like animal mimicking and also because it's only for looks and she can kinda copy some powers
Its because she mimics another person, not becomes another person. Her scent doesnt change. Her DNA is the same no matter her pysical appearence. If she were to shapeshift into Logan then get a woman pregnant, it would be hers, not Logans.

X-Men evolution mystique was better
Gotta be honest, this version really confused me. She was a cool character in the show, but she seemed a bit all over the place sometimes

Only thing interesting about this Mystique was that she somehow knocked out Emma Frost.
She has always had the ability to block out mental scans ...look it up
She’s older than Emma , and physically can alter her weight plus Emma most likely couldn’t detect her due to Ravens psychic resistance

Mystique has an immunity to Telepaths and it was probably just the mass of the Collasus form not the actual powers.

Yeah it's a constant plot error I've noticed with Mystique in certain shows and even video games that she mimics their powers as well when her morph abilities are supposed to be PHYSICAL transformations only.
@@BMW9661 She doesn't copy their powers, she just mimics their physical abilities with her shapeshifting. She can mimic the texture of Colossus' metal skin or shapeshift her bones to form Wolverine claws, but she can't copy Iceman's cryokinesis or Storm's weather manipulation. I don't get how ppl keep thinking she copies powers when it's clear she's only copying their physical traits.
