Sealing Painted or Stained Cabinets

Polycrylic is not supposed to turn it yellow. Polyurethane will.
I used polycrylic on my white dressers and they look great 6 years later.

I am so glad I watched this video because I planned to paint my cabinets white and then apply polyurethane to seal them. What did you end up doing to seal yours or did you just leave them like that? I would really love to know!

Water based poly WILL NOT YELLOW overtime! Its excellent for white wood projects.

Water base will not yellow whites. If it does, it means the tannins are coming through the paint, and it wasn’t primed with a stain blocking primer. But she is right on polycrylic is a great product for cabinets and furniture
