This is my Turkish translation for your video. I like your tactical videos. Thanks for your good effort.
    Klopp, Gegenpressing'in günümüzdeki üstadı konumunda.
40: Louis van Gaal'in beklerle oynamak konusundaki cesaretini kıran sebep buydu.

Van Gaal is among the 10 most successful managers of all time. He took a team of teens invincible and to a Champs League in 1995. He knows something, just that he has become a bit outdated.

    • @Timliu92
      @Timliu92 7 ปีที่แล้ว +83

Van Gaal is far from an incompetent manager. He is one of the most successful managers of all-time - his amazing, Europe-conquering 1990s Ajax team contributed to the Netherlands squad that reached the World Cup semis in 1998, his Bayern side won a double in his first season and reached the UCL final, while his 2014 Netherlands team reached the semis despite not being favorites during the tournament. He is also good when it comes to youth development, promoting the likes of Patrick Kluivert, Edgar Davids, Thomas Muller, Holger Badstuber, David Alaba and Marcus Rashford into their respective squads / first teams. He just did not have a good tenure with United, but that was more to do with his tactics being outdated and not because he lacks competence in management, and even the likes of Hiddink and Capello, all incredible managers, have suffered setbacks in their careers too.

I've watched a few times, months apart (but not very often), looking for Liverpool players doing this and it doesn't seem to happen anywhere near as often as I expect it to. Did Klopp modify it after coming to Liverpool? It seemed like in his initial few months when we caused havoc with Chelsea and Man City it was more intense than it is now.

  • @creativeroach3882

Celta de Vigo also used this pressing quite brilliantly in the last season and in the start of this one. Also to note, gegenpressing is a weakness of Barcelona, they can't seem to cope up with it and Celta exploited it winning at home in both seasons by a good margin.

    • @thuo1000
      @thuo1000 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Creative Roach that is because luis enrique is not as tactically good. barca no longer play positional play anymore, they are also not as organized when they press. pep's barca used to press very well and were very compact. additionally, the midfield in barca today is not as good as it was during pep's barca

    • @creativeroach3882
      @creativeroach3882 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Mark Thuo Agreed. To be honest Barcelona now are a very mediocre team except for MSN and Iniesta, you can really see how the defense and midfield struggle in possession when pressed and fail to create any chances in attack.
