In defense of One Jump Ahead since it is a song, you don't have to spend ink on it. You could have Grandma Tala or Prince Eric sing it at an opportunity cost of one lore to get an additional ink, which in early game seems a good value to me.
It’s not so much it’s ability that I dislike in the starter it’s the space it fills. It’s a horrible top deck late in the game or if you need the ink that turn. That drawback is just too high for me to want to play it.

Then we get addition boosters and pairings every Friday for I think 4 weeks. At the end there are going to be prizes for top 3.
Yeah, I was on the fence on this one of the amethyst one. I know that there isn't enough to make them good in this set, but I'd love to do a broom deck at some point.
I got a couple boosters with my starter deck I got Maui steel which is an 8 88 cost pair that with two Hercules bodyguards and a ward from Merlin that gives support from te ka +5 Moui can become an 8 8 19
My thoughts on the detective mickey card after watchign first 4 minutes of video: basically, if you play a card that allows you to look and rearrange top cards of your deck, and then summon detective mickey, you can potentially do the impossible: put an uninkable card in the inkwell. Just wanted to get that theory off of my chest. (0w0u)
The Amethyst Song card Reflection, or the villain Yzma, are your only options for “scrying” like that at the moment. If you want to put Uninkable cards into your Ink Zone in Sapphire, and not worry about losing important cards off the top of your deck, you need Belle and/or Fishbone Quill. They’ll let you put them down from your hand.
This was my first deck. I didn’t win any matches, but I always forced a tie-breaker game, even unmodified. I’ve gotten a second starter deck in order to max out quite a few cards, and the ramp definitely works better now. Still, it’s interesting to hear your thoughts on this deck. You have some good points about Limited play, which is is why I usually play Constructed.

When I got my second copy of the deck and merged them together, I initially did it with the intention of maxing out the ramp cards, so I could cast the bigger stuff sooner. However, you’ve given me a second thought, as to whether I should have. That makes me wonder: how would YOU build a 2-copy starter deck? I’m very curious to see a list, if possible. Remember, this is JUST using cards from the starter decks, for now. Ideas for replacement cards from the packs will come later.

Correct he puts the top card into ink regardless of its ability to be placed there normally

Yeah out of the box it’s a pretty poor ramp deck. Modified it can certainly be much more effective.

Someone told me that at GenCon, people were able to use any card from the Booster Pack, no matter the color, is this true?
Yes, at Gencon they used “rainbow” rules where regardless of ink color you can add it to your starter.
