That was pretty cool. Both decks seemed to do what they were designed to do. You just had a slightly better draw. I would like to see how those two decks would fair in a best of five or maybe 7. I think it would be very close. Blue-Steel is a really good combo.
Today in my store Championship tournament, I lost versus a tempo/Midrange variation of this, which was really surprising. It farmed all the aggro decks in our tournament easily and out-tempoed other midrange decks like Emerald/Amethyst, Steel/Amethyst, and some Emerald/Steels. The list was like this: 4 Hook 3 Simba 4 Smee 4 Cogsworth (2 Mana) 3 Benja 3 Prince 3 Hercules (3 Mana) 3 Gramma Tala (4 Mana) 4 Tiana 4 Cogsworth (5 Mana) 4 Develop your Brain 1 Fire the Cannons 4 Ba-Boom! 4 Let The Storm Rage On 1 Rise of the Titans 3 Strength of a Raging Fire 4 Smash 2 And then along came Zeus 2 Grab your Sword No Beasts, no A Whole New Worlds, no Ramp, no big Bombs...just swarm, removal, good inkability, and resist to the max. What do you think of his list? Especially the Tiana really caught me off guard here. And if he has two Cogs out its over immediately as well, often even tempo-shifting one.
Cool video and deck my only question is why no one jump ahead? It was one of the first cards I saw for ramp which made me look into sapphire as the first one I would build if I start playing Lorcana. My brain instantly went one jump ahead, belle, Mickey and Fishbone quil for ramp but this is my first full day looking into the game so I know very little.
It feels bad to spend two to ramp one card. Playing Belle does the same thing except she sticks on the board and can do it multiple times. Fishbone is the same thing, but can also ink uninkable cards. I might be more inclined to play OJA if it were inkable.
@@ssteadfastthx I will 😁 BTW how were your matches against ruby amethyst with this deck? And is there a reason for not running Granma or more Mickeys in your list?
I think Belle + FQuill is enough ramp. Mickey is uninkable and Gramma is too slow. Am/Ru control is tough to beat, but if you can ramp up to 12-15 ink you can start playing multiple Swords or Tink etc for removal plus WNW repeatedly to either get what you need or mill them out.
@@ssteadfast makes sense thx for the reply and feedback Now that I think about it I have some more questions: 1. Why don't you play smash in your 3 slots? 2. What kind if benefits did you get for playing musketeers over something like Te Ka or Jasmine Queen of Agrabah? 3. Did you ever consider switching the ratios of Hook and Simba for guaranteed early game pressure against Aggro?
1. Smash is great to add against aggro early but I already have some great tools. I’d rather ramp up and just play Swords. Potentially worth adding though. 2. The Bodyguards + Aurora are there to protect Belles while they quest for 5. I currently don’t think Jasmine or Te Ka are very great. 3. Yeah you can swap those but my main goal on turn 1-3 is finding and playing FQuill and then aggressively ramp every card in your hand before playing WNW to find late game combos and/or another WNW.
Around the 9 minute mark (Double Grab Your Swords play), you could've attacked with Tink in between to deal kill off a Simba and then put the 2 dmg onto Stitch which would've killed him on the second GYS. Nice deck and gameplay either way though!
Nice catch, yeah I had a couple misplays, I know near the end I exherted 2x to sing twice when I could have just paid for one and quested or challenged with the character.
Very entertaining video! That double back to back grab your swords! Im currently building Amethyst and either steel or sapphire but dont know which to decide on 😂
I'm not sure why TH-cam keeps saying its MTGO (I'm not even putting that myself, I don't get it!) This is Pixelborn, it is a community-built client for the game, check out their Discord.
Against aggro like lemon lime, do you feel you have enough removal between Giant Tink and Grab Your Swords? Or you just bank on ramping enough so that you can outpace them with Belle? Love your content!
Steel is pretty good against aggro decks with GYS, Tink like you said but also cards like Hook and Eric are great for breaking down their aggro board. This deck also has Let It Go which helps! If you're extra worried, you can add in some Smash. Thanks for watching!
Would it be possible to get a deck breakdown /card/ratio explanation at the start of deck showcases? I'm new to Lorcana and there's a lot to take in. Yoshi does a very good job of explaining card choices and ratios and even includes possible alternatives and tech options. It's why I really enjoy watching his content. I understand if not, and i suppose my question for this list is: why only 2 mickey mouse? No gramma etc. In a deck focused around ramp? I understand quill pen thingy does that too. (Ive writen this before watching the whole video so I'll edit if you explain during the vid)
I sometimes do detailed guides but this was just a quick match. I think people overvalue Mickey, Gramma, and OJA. You don’t need EVERY ramp card. FQuill and Belle are plenty, Mickey is just a bonus. I don’t want 4 because he is uninkable and a completely dead draw after turn 5 or so.
Playing ''A whole new world'' with blue in your deck seems very anti-synergistic. I mean, you give your opponent a crap ton of ink while giving it plenty of cards to spend that ink on. I don't know.
You sang both grab your swords and left enough I k open to just play them both. That cost you 4 lore and gave your opponent another turn. Also, he had enough lore to do whatever he wanted. You should have taken out the tabard instead of the lantern. In the end game, card advantage is more important than amount of ink.
I recently put this deck in my Top 5 Decks!

Thanks!! :D
This is an amazing deck list man well done grey stuff. I like the x2 mickey. Did you think about adding smash in? Or simply no room
I actually do want to fit Smash in here, but I need to think a bit more about where to place it.
@@ssteadfast yeah cause looking at your decklist everything has a role
I’m just running +4 Smash now without removing any cards, more than 60 cards doesn’t feel as bad in a WNW deck.
@@ssteadfast I did you see your new video with the new meta with a similar deck build which looks really good
Nice this is propably the most unique Belle Ramp deck I've seen so far. Can't wait to test it

Both can be really good!
@ssteadfast don't suppose you have any deck lists or vids for Amethyst/sapphire deck?
Is it generally better to go first or second in this game? Or does it just depend on the deck you’re playing?
First. The major tournaments have noticed the deck that goes first wins about 60% of the time.
First is universally understood to be better!
@@ssteadfast thanks for letting me know!
@@coryking9513 thanks!

I thought you could only ink once 😮. You inked twice and inked further with fish
Belle allows you to ink twice!
So the general rule is that you can only ink once?
@@ssteadfast so the general tule is that you can only ink once per turn?
@@Pkmnrulz899yes unless a effect states something else you can only ink 1 inkable card per turn according to game mechanicd

Playing ''A whole new world'' with blue in your deck seems very anti-synergistic. I mean, you give your opponent a crap ton of ink while giving it plenty of cards to spend that ink on. I don't know.
I agree in most decks and think WNW is severely overrated. However it’s a key part of the combo of this deck and works perfectly here.

You did some misplays that could cost you the game.
All you gotta do is misplay less than the opponent!
