I\ve been playing Ruby Amethyst but I couldn't keep Gaston anymore as i went down to 60 cards for consistency and included 3 jafar instead. I was just curious of what you are running now for Red Purple build. A update video would also be great haha. Keep the amazing vids. thanks
I think befuddle is a bit of a trap, i was a fan of it for a while but lefou is just better imo because it deals with simba but also providing other utility with aladdin to end the game on t6 against aggro. brooms i think are going to essential in events.
Against rush befuddle sets then back 1 turn and messes with their curve for turns 2 and 3 or allows you to kill Lilo. I honestly ruin both as they are both equally good for multiple purposes even outside rush match ups
Lefou is a great card, and great for Simba but Befuddle not only gets past him but costs them another 2 mana to re-play. You can use Befuddle it on items too!
@ssteadfast the reasoning with lefou is that it adds to your board and helps to remove the simba permanently and it has more utility later in the game.
if i might give a tip. i noticed game 1 that the opp inked a 5/6 t1 this olmost always means they are a slow deck. so in that case u wanne ink your 1 drops since u wont need em to maintain board controll. and so u dont have the use your more impactfull cards to ink because u played your 1 drop.
Hey i have been itching to play lorcana, i can get some cards at inflated prices but i just dont have the cards i need to complete full decks. So i got pixelborn and i made this deck and wow first game ever resulted in a win, great control with maui on the board
I’m curious about your play in game one to not play out the Aladdin on the empty board after inking Gaston and instead opting to draw a card and play another Mirror. If you jam Aladdin, you have two Elsa in hand to freeze his next play(s) and attack into them and if he does WNW you have a threat on board against his empty board. So just wondering if you still think drawing a card was better and if so why?
Hello. is there a reason why you play 64 cards and not 60 ? Usually when we build we try to reduce the number of card to get more chance to have the good one at the good timing ? Enjoyed the video. Just some constructive criticism: I don't agree with the play at 26:09. Your opponent's board state wasn't threatening you, so singing "Be Prepared" was incorrect IMO. If you hold the board wipe, you can definitely get more value from it against an aggro deck. Good content though man. Keep it up!
It would be great if you did some videos about affordable options if one can't afford/acquire Belle, Maui or Maleficent. That said really enjoy the vids and production quality. Though I'm not a fan of music in the background you did pick mellow, blending stuff that doesn't distract.

Robin Hood is blue. That color lacks of draw effects. It's better to pair it with grey if you want removals. Best combinaison for Robin is fishbone turn3, into Robin turn4, into Whole new World, turn5
Great video on Ruby / Amethyst. I am looking forward to building this deck, once I'm able to acquire said products 😅 Love to see a series of videos explaining the other decks you listed on tier S (with the exception of aggro amber / emerald). Pff i have 0 knowledge of deck building. I'm watching a ton of guidee, but by doing that... i even get more scared to build one. Could u give me some tips on how to start?
Start with one of the starter decks and play with that. They swap out 4-6 cards with something new and see how it goes. Keep doing that and you’ll learn what you like and what seems good. Don’t feel too pressured by all the guides and meta stuff, Lorcana is super easy to pick up and you can make your deck your own and learn by playing!
@@ssteadfast 1 more question. Can i also combine 2 starter decks? Meaning: take all amber cards and put them together with ruby. Instead of the ruby/emerald starter deck, you get amber/ruby. Or dont you suggest that.
This is an awesome deck, but most top tier decks are SUPER expensive right now because playing at leagues with a bunch of legendaries puts you back like $200-$300 cause they're about $25 each. Can you do your next few deck videos on decks that may be A/B/C tier decks that are more affordable?
A few reasons: - That Maleficent is 1-1 and can’t help with the early board struggle. A 2-2 is much better at finding efficient trades. The goal early is not to quest, it’s to sustain and disrupt the opponent’s game plan in order to begin the control lockdown once your inkwell is healthy. - This deck does not need to or want to quest early - Her being uninkable is very bad, this deck already has a lot of uninkable cards that are more valuable to run instead of the 1-1 Maleficent.

There’s a few ways: - Play a hyper lore aggro deck (Amber/Emerald) or a ramp deck (Sapphire/Steel) and outpace it before removal comes online - Pilot a mirror or other good control deck better - Win when they deck out, either by stalling hard with control or using a mill strategy If you watch my other video (the 36 cards inked one) you’ll see me win vs a a ramp deck, but with a few tweaks and different plays I could have for sure lost that matchup, and I’ve lost many times with this deck despite it being probably the best deck we’ve found so far.
Not with the draw power of purple and even amber to some extent. Also with A Whole New World (either playing it or against it) you see a lot of your deck and run the chance of getting decked out. Having those 4 extra cards with all of the draw power and hand refill can be the difference of decking out or staying in the game without hurting consistency
Many matches with control decks will run through all your cards. A few counters are running more cards, consciously drawing less, or playing brooms. Consistency is extremely vital for early game decks, but less important here with so much stalling and card draw. However I still probably wouldn’t run more than 68-70 cards as of right now.
It only makes since in decks with lots of card draw (such as this one or if running 4 Whole New Worlds with other card draw) just as a bit of protection against mill decks. It also allows you to build slightly more uninkable cards in the deck than you otherwise should. This deck runs 17 uninkables, which is a little above my personal comfort zone in a normal 60-card deck, and you can see even with playing 64 cards, he was sometimes ink starved mid-game. He recovered pretty quickly because this deck has all the extra card draw you could want.
Nice guide. I would have loved to have seen more competitive deck matchups though. The final match was the closest to another meta deck, but they had some questionable choices in a yellow/green aggro list like hakuna matata and maximus....not really where you want to be in that deck
been running up against this deck a lot, my aggro stitch can take it down IF it gets to go 1st but loses most of the time it goes 2nd >< it's nice that the meta is still in flux though, and thankfully we got pixelborn so we don't have to buy and practice with all these expensive cards
Yeah a hyper aggro deck can win pretty often if their deck is built efficiently and they know how to mulligan. But around turn 7/8 the momentum swings back heavy in favor of control.
It helps, but mill decks will often play 2-3 WNW on the same turn. That’s 14-21 cards lost that you never got to play. 2x brooms could easily be lost that way. That’s why I think you may to run 4 if you want to commit to that strategy effectively.
i hate this deck. the fact that running over 60 is optimal is a testament to how dumb it is. you dont really care what you draw since you eventually draw all your cards and you are only really worried about getting decked out. being able to play your wrath for free above curve is bonkers and there is no way for other colors to keep up with the repeatable card draw. there are no cards that don't die to Be Prepared and no way to quest with haste so you are guaranteed to not lose the next turn when you wrath. hopefully other colors get tools to fight this deck in the next set, but for now this thing is king. there is like 1 bad matchup or you could possibly lose to aggro with a bad draw.

I like 60 cards with no Gaston! Sounds like your deck is similar!

Agreed, but turn 1 may not give quite enough info about what the opponent is playing.

I'm running a cheaper list IRL that focuses more on Aladdin because you he comes in the starter decks. Maybe that's an idea for you!

Nothing actually, I ink up to 5, maybe 6 and try to win from there with multiple Aladdin, shield, etc

No, because this deck plays a long game and draws most of its cards. You’ll see a larger percentage of your cards with this deck compared to others.

The game hasn't even 'officially' released. Once the market is flooded with 20x the amount of product the prices will fall
everybody in my local lgs plays suboptimal decks, theres noone around with full 4x sets of every legendary
I’d love to see something in regards to Amethyst/Emerald I don’t know if the combo is good enough but I enjoy the way it plays.
You can run an aggro deck with those colors, the typical Emerald cards + draw combos.
Why wouldn’t we play the malefacent that had higher quest points than the owl?

There’s a rule that says the the deck has to be 60 exactly now ,on the website for the game it says 60
Quick start rules only say at least up to 60 card

Well yeah since all the cards of the first chapter is out.
I literally run this deck. Minor tweaks cause I don't like that many items. Cost me about $300ish. Very reasonable for a meta deck.
That depends on two things. One if you're planning on getting it or learning to know it's match ups.

Stitch is a good option and cheeper at 6 ink. Good stats and quests for 3

All you need is 2 brrooms to avoid a mill loss
