Randos making TH-cam videos need to do that when they know very little.
Its s all about being loud, and the stupid background music and the "recording studio with lights" when they dont actually know anything.

exactly, I love to text, it has been my hobby since 2007.
having smartphone gives me battery anxiety and gets me less interaction with social activities.

In Our home we decided to ditch ALL smartphones FOR GOOD.
We are going back to Nokia mobile phones and the best thìng about it is that my kids love it , a Nokia 2720 that only do calls and text and a few not so good picktures...THATS IT, this is what my whished for this christmas and a sim with their One phone Number 😄👍

This review is brilliant. You've nailed my decision for me. The fact I can uninstall Facebook to just not have it as a visual distraction is great I don't have a Facebook account I only have Instagram but I can live without that.
I did want a dumb phone but with WhatsApp due to connecting with family groups...
My only thought now for the one issue I might come across is no access to banking apps I've been in situations where I've had to move money around while on the go, but for now we'll see.

I have the Nokia 2720 Flip and it’s a good secondary phone and with 4G it will work when 2/3G disappears, battery life is ok and replaceable, good call quality / texts and E mail, and the assistant is quite good,I also use it as a MP3 player with micro SD card, an improvement over the original 2720 which I no longer have, only in Black in uk, nice video Scottie as on

      Hi,
since the 3G network is being phased out, I'm desperate to find a non-smartphone that still is decent but works on 4G.
Have been looking into this model, but then Nokia 1st told me you CAN send/received MMS with it, yet when I double-checked that it would include sending/receiving MMS w/ not only pictures, but also sound files, they said no?? Which seems completely retarded.
My old Sony Ericsson C905 model from 2008 works that way, at least. Under the Messaging menu, you pick either SMS or MMS, and under MMS you can record a file and send as a MMS.
Surely, that must work also on this one?? Else I'm f ............! This is the only phone I can imagine getting:/ Pls, could you confirm or deny this about sending/receiving MMS containing sound files?
      Big thanks in advance!

I know the majority of KaiOS feature phones don't run uber as an app but do you know any models where it's possible to book an uber via the website? I'm looking to downgrade for a social media detox and only really need a phone which I'm able to book an uber on to travel..even if it's via the web browser. Thanks.

I got the Nokia 2720 Flip phone before the whole pandemic thing, and I was going to see if I can survive using this phone in 2020, but I'll postpone my experiment until later this year.

Well I bought the phone for the same reasons on the video. Unfortunately the operating system kept crashing. It was very slow. I kept getting messages saying kaiOS has crashed. I don't think it's a phone problem, it's definitely a software problem. The idea of kaiOS is great but I think they really need to be testing their phones out before selling them. I can't recommend kaiOS.

You're not the first person to have that problem. It's strange, because I'm on my second KaiOS phone now and they've both been rock solid. What the problem is, I agree that they need to get it fixed ASAP!

Switched from 2720 to 800 but their simple ui Navigation in the menu are so slow and laggy. :(

Hmm, that's interesting. That seems to happen for a variety of people on several different KaiOS phones, but I have yet to experience it myself. I wish I would, becuz then maybe I could figure out why!

    Objective review, BUT
For a near 100€ price tag i would expect more. The plastic is obviously cut rate, looks even worse than some 100€ smartphones.
This seems like a far cry from old nokia build quality. Combined with negative reviews, i will wait for it to near the 60€ mark.
Other than that, a compact flip phone with whatsapp and maps is all i really need and been waiting for. Its a bloody shame that phones have become ridiculously huge, the only one i would even consider is the new iPhone SE, and even that is borderline too big. Big tech has become disconnected from the consumer.

Hello Scottie, does this phone come close (menu and 'key-combination-wise', like for example 'lock keypad') to a classic Nokia from the nineties/early 2000's?
I've been looking all over to find a 'mobile phone for the elderly' and learned from experience a lot of these people have underestimated their 'dependency' on the ease of use of the classic Nokia menu.
Because of, imho, Nokia's poor offering for this audience, a lot of them ended up with something that looked like a Nokia (probably wrongly presuming it would work likewise) and quickly ended up ditching it.
I was hoping this one would fit the bill. What do you think?
Thank you for your informative video!

My problem with flip phones is they're expensive viewing that you can easily predict that in the near future there'll be better flip phones with for example 3.5" screen, better camera, sd card more than 32gb...etc; the movement now suggesting that smartphones are as addictive as nicotine and alcohol and it's time to live healthier with flip phones has a valid point and propagating that I can see in the future better flip dumb phones! So, I'm gonna save my money and wait a bit
