So much could be said about a genius. Personally, for me the most pure playmaker and classic number 10 at heart even though he transformed throughout his career. The false 9 going on to be so popular was due to Spalletti and him, Roma financial troubles and an injury crisis. A little piece of football history created there added another dimension to football tactics. Any era, any club he would have been the star man. Francesco Totti, unique expression on a football pitch.

@@essengomakassi5538 Yes he transformed throughout his career and played all positions. He scored more goals after 30 years old than before it and ended up finishing 2nd all time in Serie A. Its pretty crazy to think about but at his peak it wasnt the goals. It was the playmaking ability that set him apart. The passes, the touches, the flicks that kept the play moving that made him most unique and why I say he is a classic old school number 10 playmaker. Separate from a second striker. I would put Baggio and Del Piero as second strikers who also wore the 10 but Totti was something. Now reports are saying he is considering playing again as the standard is so low lol A dream surely.
