I recently saw a cry7 fan girl on social media say "nobody had heard of Messi until 2009" and I almost lost my mind because THESE are the people on these football debates online…
Before seeing the video I thought "it will not surprise me 'cause I'm argentinian i've seen all Leo goals live" but after saw these I figured out that I was surpised AGAIN for his talent that's the magic of Messi.. it's shocking how good he is
@@downtownsportsanatomy1631 nah last time I had a dream it was of cr7 being the goat and when I woke up and checked stats and playstyle Messi was far above than Ronaldo the fake one I mean the 2nd Ronaldo and not R9😂
Fans who got to watch a young Messi played back in 2002 must feel really privilege today. They really were witness of watching one of the GOAT of football.
Certainly. I've been following Messi's career from the very beginning. I watched his debut in Liga against Espanyol in 2004, his first ever game with U20 Argentina against Paraguay in the same year, and his very first La Liga goal against Albacete in 2005 magically assisted by Ronaldinho. At that time, he wasn't a starter at Barca yet so it was his tenure with U20 Argentina that really allowed us to see him shine. The funny thing is he started as a sub in the U20 World Cup on Argentina's debut against the USA. He came in on the second half when Argentina were 0-1 down. He played superbly, having a notorious impact on the game, but still couldn't prevent defeat. Still, he'd start every single game after that and the rest is history: Argentina U20 WC Champions with Messi scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists in 7 games. I even remember having a conversation with my cousin that Christmas telling him I believed Messi had the potential to be as good as Maradona. Little did I know that Messi would end up surpassing my wildest expectations.
@@naiyo87 you are privilege. Frist time I saw Messi was in the CL against Chelsea. He was still young and raw. To then watch him get better and better each season was something that wont be seen again in a very long time. A bad season for Messi was a great season for most footballers lol. I have always said that their will never be another Messi in football due to the simple fact I don't think any new footballer can play at a top top level for 10 years and more.
@@brilliance2002 Yeah, I think club friendlies dont count, but international friendlies nowadays are counted as real official matches and even contribute to a nation's FIFA rankings.
you got the first one right! the rest is almost comical. m.laudrup (great player btw ) but ranked above maradona, pele , r9, and christiano? you must be high
@@jackraggio3770 Michael Laudrup was so elegant . Pep said the balon dor is not worthy if Michael laudrup doesn’t win it . Iniesta ‘s idol . He was so elegant . Zidane before Zidane. Maradona could be a case for second.R9 was amazing but struggled early on at Inter , overatted in my eyes. Cr7 is prolific at scoring but so was Romario . I prefer Zico as an all round player . @luffy_army If you want to sell something, like football, wouldn't It make sense to put the best product you have in the spotlight, because it could be the flagship of your business? When It comes to the beautiful game, no one comes close to this man.

People forget 2005-2008 messi, very agressive almost suicidal
Not here in Argentina. He was superb in the 2005 U20 WC, 2006 WC, 2007 Copa América and 2008 Olympic Games.
The best player on history 🐐
