Everyone is talking about how awesome and kind the child and dog are, but can we give a hand to the parents who not only adopted a senior dog but ALSO a child? That is truly the highest forms of love and that's all I hear when I listen to this mom's voice 😋
YOU should of STUCK with the TOPIC at hand. We SHOULD ADOPT our OWN BLACK CHILDREN. He will PROBABLY go up to be CONFUSED. And BLIND to how the WORLD really THINKS of him.
@@reignlove8741 What's with the attitude? There is a massive shortage of adoptive parents and a huge number of children in the system awaiting homes. This gorgeous little boy has been adopted into a family who will show him love, affection, and support - all things he would never have got in the system. Why aren't they good enough because they're white? That's racist as hell. Your use of 'PROBABLY' shows that even you realise that your negative assumptions are guesswork. How do you know that this family won't educate him on his heritage? You know nothing about them or how they are choosing to raise their son!
So take your own advice ("YOU should of STUCK with the TOPIC at hand"), look back at the video, and be grateful that a child has been adopted into a loving family home, rather than nit-picking and 'finding' faults that might not even exist in the first place.
@@danielh.9986 I do understand where you're coming from, but I think that a lot of that comes down to how the parents approach/mitigate the problem. We understand identity issues now, as a society, far better than we did even 20 years ago and, thanks to the internet, we are now able to connect with and learn about other cultures more than ever. It's also explained to more adoptive parents as something they'll need to address now - which just didn't happen in the past.
I have a friend (who is now an adult) who was adopted by people from a different race & culture to the one he was born into. He has no identity issues whatsoever because they mitigated the problem early and thoroughly. He was raised to understand that he was a mix of the two cultures - born into one, adopted into the other, and accepted by both. He regularly went to cultural events for both communities and forged strong links with people in both, who could teach him about his heritage - something that was heavily supported by his parents.
If it's done right, it works. Is it ideal? No. But is it better than a kid growing up in the system, not knowing what a normal family is, never mind the norms of their specific heritage? Absolutely.

I have an adopted daughter who was terrified of dogs. We introduced her gradually to dogs to the point where she was comfortable with them. We then adopted a rescue dog who have been abused and was scared of people. They now have the most beautiful, friendship and love each other so much. To see them together playing dollies, dress up, doing tricks and sleeping all snuggled up together is the absolute joy of my life. Thank you Dodo for your awesome videos. My family all love them so much. Faith in humanity is restored. 😍🥰😍

@Griffin Mann it's not unfair and stupid. Many of them are raised by incompetent or horrible people, because they are the dog of choice. I lived next door to a "breeder" for a while. Their dogs were constantly getting out and killing other pets in the neighborhood. There's no denying that they have a bad reputation for a reason... they just need a responsible owner, and most of them don't have that.

I love this channel , it always bring a tear to my eyes with a smile beneath . This is my favorite video yet . I grew up with pets all my life and seeing the special bond between the little boy and the dog was incredible ..... I can't believe that anyone disliked this video but unfortunately there is ignorance in the world . The bond was great and the family shown is the foundation of society ...... That's so amazing how perfect mini was for him, and how much joy and love you all have. My son had shut down because of medical induced trauma to the point he wouldn't even let me touch him or hug him goodnight, and our dog helped him heal as well. We ended up adopting Storm from the shelter shortly after my grandma and uncle passed, and I sware it was like my Grandma and God lined the whole thing up. The dog we adopted had been at the shelter the longest, and was next in line to be euthanized but we didn't know it at the time until we were checking out. They had given us a whole list of behaviors to expect the first few weeks when you are adopting a shelter dog, but she displayed none of them. As soon as she got home she was the perfect therapy dog. She had never been trained, but she knew when my son was having anxiety and she knew to be so gentle when approaching him, but to everyone else she was so rowdy. It started with him petting her. Each day I watched my son's Wall come down more and more. Within a month or two, I was able to start hugging my son good night again. I swear these dogs are like little angels that are sent here.

Aww I have a mini too. Her name is Mimi, she is 8 years old, and looks a lot like Mini. I love senior dogs; they're a lot calmer in my experience. Females especially, love to snuggle.

Senior dogs are the most lovable and gentle.
I've had 2, both chipitts. The first was named Athena and the one cuddled up on me now is named Emmie. i know what it's like to fear dogs so I will always be grateful to the Pittbull,(which had Athena), for ending that fear. Niether one was a senior dog, my canine soulmates, though.

It’s so lovely to see a young boy find his way with the help of Mini. She’s such a doting loving furbaby who’s now got a little brother to take care of and show him all the love a doting dog can have for one little boy.

@nigling Foster care is considered temporary. When children are considered endangered and removed from homes/parents (or even discovered abandoned) they are initially placed in foster care so that they are in safe families while a situation is investigated and/or an alternate biological family member can be found.
A foster child is technically a ward of the state being cared for by a volunteer (foster parent) from a purely "legal" perspective. Adopted children, on the other hand, are legally the children of their adoptive parent just as if they were born to said parent.
You can adopt kids after fostering them. Foster kids become eligible for adoption after all attempts at reunification have failed and parents either give up there rights or have them disolved by the court. Even if parents screw up repeatedly, the court will usually not instantly dissolve parental rights even if they don't consider it safe for a child to go back to them. In that time, the child still has to "live" somwhere. While this game of tug of war with "rights" is going on, kids keep aging. Often with older children (and "older" can be as young as like 6 years old) are harder to adopt out and they can end up staying wards of the state until they age out at 18. Just because you become eligible for adoption doesn't mean you will be adopted. So while parents may be, for all intents and purposes, not in the picture, foster care can become a limbo kids are stuck in. Also, some foster kids end up in Group Homes which are more like orphanages then homes.
My mom adopted my sisters after having them many years, but before the 5 she adopted she'd had many children who were with us from months to years. Not all of them were successfully reunified. It's complicated. My mom was never adopted and after many many homes went to live with my Grandmother when she was 14. While my Grandmother basically considered my mom her child, she was never legally adopted by my grandmother and was legally a ward of the court till 18. As this was 60 plus years ago, laws were more complicated. The biggest reasons many children are forever trapped in the foster cycle without being adopted is the volume of children vs. available homes.
Foster to Adopt is probably one of the most affordable ways to adopt but most people want babies.
@nigling Also many children who never became eligible for adoption consider their foster families there real families. So it's not often the case that the foster parents don't want the responsibility of being the fully legal parents of the child so much as the state never legally dissolved the rights therefore adoption was never possible but for all purposes the child and foster parent are together until adulthood and maybe at that point the parent stops taking in new children (especially if they've gotten older). And it effectively is like adoption in that the child and parent/parents are together until the child comes of age and continue that relationship of parent/child well beyond the child coming of age. Like my Grandmother was always my Grandmother. I didn't realize she wasn't my biological Grandmother until I asked my mom why she didn't have baby pictures when I was like 8.
@nigling Also it's nothing like AirBnBs!!!!...sorry for all the answers...but I hate when people cheapen what a blessing a good foster home can be to a child (which I don't think you did intentionally). Also not every foster home is "bunches of kids". Sometimes a family only has one foster child, some are emergency overnights, some take a few, some dedicate themselves to retaining sibling groups, there are exclusively "special needs" homes who may care exclusively for differently abled children....there are many many variations of foster homes/families. And you have to go under rigorous evaluation by the state to be a foster parent. There are bad ones who slip through the cracks, but I truly believe there are more good hearted people who want to help children then bad.

Because a mentally stable person would watch this and move on. You on the other hand are seething with rage over this little boy/baboons and act triggered when someone calls you on it.
