The fact that a bonded pair of pittiss got their forever home is amazing. It’s so hard for them to get adopted anyway, thank goodness.

Thank you to Pima Animal Shelter for recognizing the importance of keeping these two dogs together. It was the most kind and humane thing to do. So happy that they waited until the right family came along. The dogs were and will always be a pair.💕🐶🐶
Absolutely right. Many shelters are so busy getting homes for the dogs, that they choose to separate best friends.

There would be no way I could separate 2 pooches that stay hugged up or always touching each other. If I go into the shelter looking for "a" dog and saw 2 who were bonded......I KNOW I'd get the 2 bonded ones. My adult son & I will be moving soon and we want another dog. We've had cats for many, many years and we are down to 1 cat now. I will inquire if they have a bonded pair & I'm going to adopt them. I've always adopted 2 cats together because cats are easier when they have a littermate. I think dogs aren't much different.....

Yeah! Usually animals who love each other, or who are best friends. Even when they take the babies away from mothers or fathers is horrible!!! They love each other then they take them all away..

Whatever their relationship, it’s pure love. Closest pair I’ve ever seen💕All love to them and their amazing owners. Kudos to the rescue for keeping them together. ❤️

I would have adopted them but I have a service dog for ptsd which I got while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and I don't no ifv they would not get along he is a German shepherd.

Martina Virgen Yeah. I know someone who chose his dog, because the dog came over and crapped on his foot. He laughed and said that is definitely my dog, he's going home with me. Said dog is now VERY spoiled and loved.
My dog was brought with his siblings and mom and he was the first one out of his crate and he walked out and farted loudly then pooped on our garage floor and my dad knew he was ours
Yeah, I'm in the belief you've gotta be more strict with dogs. I hope she only laughed because she was on camera and doesn't just let the dog run riot like that. Dogs are happier with discipline

@@carolinemcgovern8059 One shelter I volunteered at had the best combo of bonded dogs I've ever seen. It was a full size Rottweiler and a miniature Chihuahua. They were the funniest thing. So wonderful.

We had 2 bonded dogs when 1 died the only way out of her grief was a 4 wrrk old male puppy we adopted 2 weeks sfter her brother s death i hope this encourages snyone with super bonded pets xo

pits and rotties are so misunderstood, all they need is a kind heart to teach them to be nice.
They don’t need to be taught to be nice, all they need is to not have terrible people teach them how to be cruel

Also the same with all animals . If humans took the time to know pigs are very clever and dream and very similar to dogs . Cows never forget a face they are very gentle same with lambs goats . The cruelty to animals is so very evil and cruel

There's no way I could split them up. I've rescued two sets of sisters. They would absolutely be lost without out each other. My wife says I'm forbidden from visiting the shelter

After I adopted a Rottie from the shelter 4 years ago, if it was up to my wife, she'd have a poster of me at the shelter warning that this man is addicted and not to be allowed in. Our first two dogs (Rottie and Shepherd) came from a shelter 16 years earlier. We're on a ranch so the Rottie's in heaven working every day keeping the cows in line and hiking nd biking in the mountains. Cheers!

This has got to be one of the best adoption success stories I have ever seen. This couple is aces in my book. These pups went to the perfect home. It really warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes, and I applaud this animal shelter for not separating these dogs and doing everything in their power to help them get adopted together which is no easy task.

To me there is nothing worse than an empty house after the loss of a pet and the beds, toys and dishes are put away. So glad they filled that place and bless you for giving them a home together.

Beutiful, I adopted a mom.... then I found her son and adopted him,both pits. The bond they have is amazing just like these 2

Tip: when you adopt a dog from a shelter take them for a long walk before you go home. It helps them bond and it helps them relax and reset before going home.
In California they send them to get fixed before you can take them home. You have to worry about post op care on top of socializing the pet to your home. I understand why this law exists, because we do not want puppy mills adopting animals, or irresponsible pet owners that let their dogs mate, but it is still hard on the pet and the new home they go to.
@@2cleverbyhalf that's a silly policy. The aim is for all dogs to get rehomed, so as soon as they've been there a week, had a health check and had a behavioural assessment, they should be neutured at the centre ans advertised. Then, potential owners can meet/reserve the dog but not take them home until they've healed/last stitches are out. The minimum adoption fee can be adjusted to reflect this. Why on Earth would they send a dog out of kennels, to the vets, then have them return after surgery!! into a completely unfamiliar environment, with all new people ect. I cannot imagine many new owners would strictly follow post-op care either, wanting to take their new pooch out and about and play and get them all excited.
My heart is so full ❤❤ I lost my 14 year old 75 pound red nose pitt, and my 150-pound Great Pyrenees misses her every day. Seeing these 2 share a bed brings back those memories of 2 big dogs snuggling on one bed, although there were several. The water hose is such a beautiful memory of my girl playing the same, loved the hose. I'm forever grateful you gave these beautiful souls the loving forever home they deserve. May God continue to bless and watch over your beautiful family ❤️ Thank you for the wonderful memories you brought back to me. With gratitude and blessings ❤
