I think most dogs, like human children, get more EXCITED to see grandparents than their mom and dad. They are typically much more lenient with rules of behavior and more likely to provide fun and tasty treats!
It’s so true! My dog is a total grandma’s girl. She loves her and gets so excited when she sees luggage because she knows that means we’re going to see her. She’s coming to visit today so I’m cleaning the house and my girl is like “is someone coming over? GRANDMA?!?” 😂
NAH MY PIT-LAB HOWLS AND WHIMPERS WHEN MY GRANDPA COMES. granted they take her on like, 8 mile walks BUT STILL. We never get that love even when we're gone for 2 weeks.
We adopted a 14 year old pitbull that no one wanted at the shelter, and she turned out to be an amazing dog. It was hard for us to believe how bonded she became to our family in such a short time. Lost her recently and really miss her.
I started setting my alarm to get up earlier than I needed to so I have a whole hour to dedicate to cuddle and play with my dog. She loves it. She gets jealous of my phone so she loves the time where the phone is down and it’s all about her. It’s become one of my favorite hours of the day ❤
"He is such a wonderful treasure." I think that's just the best way to describe them. And Grandpa, Polo won the lottery too when he entered your wonderful family. All of you are beautiful families, pitties, parents, and grandparents here. Thank you for loving and caring for your little treasures!
I was absolutely terrified of dogs until I met my husband to be. He had a little Jack Russell terrier. I had to choose between my phobia and my husband. That little dog stole my heart and cured my fear of dogs. Fast forward 44 years and I’m still married to the love of my life. We’ve had dogs the whole time! I can’t imagine life without dogs now. They are a huge blessing in our lives. Both my children have dogs too.
My niece's Pittie, a 135 pound lap dog, crossed the rainbow bridge in March. He was so playful and very protective of her and her two sons. He's still missed, he was the bestest boy.
I had a rescued bait dog. Brandon was a big teddy bear with people he knew & loved, but a nightmare if he didn’t like you. He could be very dangerous, but he was my protector and he took the job VERY seriously! The very first time he met my bf’s 18 month old nephew he was no longer just my dog. Brandon loved that little boy like they were born to be together. It was the sweetest love I’ve ever seen!
Sure…adorable. When I go visit my mom she spends the first 15 minutes spoiling and talking to my dog before even acknowledging that I came with him 🙄 All joking aside, my dad died 2 years ago, and my dog was so great with and for my mom. He was the first one to get my mom able to smile and begin to be cheerful again. I’m so grateful to him.
@@maargenbx1454 SORRY...I have to piggy back on your comment. Since I can't go with the original.... I have had my pittie now since she was 12 weeks old or 3 months depending on what way you want to take it... I grew up expecting all pits to he bad....OMG has this pooch changed my mind!!! She is almost 10 now...I usually say 9.5 but we are close enough to January to call he 10...idk im starting to picture life without her when she crosses that bridge...but....will I accept another pittie ABSOLUTELY 😊😊😊!
I used to be afraid of dogs when I was little until a couple dogs showed me they’re not so bad and I love dogs. Cats taught me they’re cool too and I’ve been a dog parent and I’m a cat parent. Dogs and cats are fantastic teachers. How they know what to do to make you unafraid is a mystery. When my dog passed my neighbor took me to a shelter. I needed a comfort dog for a while and I chose a Pit Bull and he started my healing. I had a Pit Bull for a couple months. She was just too physically strong for me, but while I had her she was an amazing companion and helped me with the final part of curing my grief over the loss of my dog. I think she knew that was her job. I didn’t even ask for a refund. Chevy proved her worth and I wouldn’t have made it had I not her finishing my grief counciling. I never could get another dog so bonded to mine, but at least those two Pit Bulls opened me up to accept their kindness and gentleness. I still love Pit Bulls and whenever I see the rare Pit Bull walker I have to go over say hi and ask if I can pet their dogs. I always got a yes. I did make the mistake of triggering two Pit Bulls owned by a neighbor lady so exited to see them after so long. It wasn’t fear it was being overly happy. They barked, one jumped on me and had to apologize to the owner. I should’ve held back my excitement in seeing them after so long because they were so nice to me when I first met them and they supervised my weed pulling. I guess those dogs weren’t used to someone being so happy to see them. I love Pit Bulls. But I’m used to small dogs and I’m not physically strong.
this video brought tears to my eyes. what a terrific story , journey, and most of all family. Mom, Dad , baby and those 2 beefcakes and OMG gramma !!!! just precious god bless you all
If only all new parents were so focused on helping their dogs adjust. Such great advice and work you've done and look how it has paid off - safe and happy, bonded baby and dogs ❤❤❤
Agreed. People fail to realize it’s an adjustment for the dog as well when a new baby comes. Even for cats. I spent extra time with my dogs when my babies were born, included them in everything that I could, walked them with the baby etc. it’s really not hard. Some people are just lazy and unwilling to educate themselves. But this video gives me hope, there are definitely good owners/parents still out there❤️🐾
Polo - just lying on the side of the road, neutered and sweet. Hmm Who would not be searching for a lost dog like this? It was fun watching your Dad play with him! Polo looked pretty at home 🐾💛
Such a nice story. I was always wary of pit bulls but was told by experienced owners that they can be great dogs and the problem pitties were the fault of bad owners. Having seen so many videos showcasing loving and loyal pitties, I believe it now.
He is an absolute treasure of a dog. How does a beautiful soul like that end up on the side of the road next to all that traffic. The angels brought you together. The right dog for the right family.
It's amazing being able to see the moment when someone see the love of an animal but especially a bully breed I've said this forever that pitbulls are a very special breed the way they look at you and the way they love you they are so so special.
Pittbulls are just sweethearts, its not that they are bad dogs, its that some owners who fail to bring the dogs up right and want themselves to look matcho.
We adopted a bully last year. He truly has the best temperament. Even if another dog is aggressive towards him. He just backs away and looks at mom or dad like "what is their problem?".
I've always been wary of large dogs, especially pitties, since I was attacked as a small child. Nevertheless, my youngest brother Chris has an absolutely gorgeous pitty named Archer. He's built like a tank, is strong as an ox, and is the biggest sweetheart on the planet! Firstly, while he is a slab of muscle and power, he thinks he's a lap dog, so he'll crawl on you as if he isn't 1000 pounds of teeth and claws. Then, he has to be fully embraced within your arms like a giant baby. All of this is after he greets you as if you are THE only human being he has ever encountered, as if he's been missing you his entire life. Finally, he is the happiest, most lovable animal in the world, protective and genuine in his delight of life.
I love how in the first part of this video, the family handled it perfectly having a baby and making the dogs still feel important by spending alone time with them . All pets can become jealous of a newborn and they need to still feel loved and special. The second video was awesome how grandma learned not to be afraid and embrace these two beauties!
He would have sat there until his owner came back too! Im so glad she stopped to pick him up and give him a new life. His gratitude never stopped. Wonderful story
To see your mom, so genuine & awesome to the dogs, it made me smile... I think I love your mom so now, I see how the dogs love her just as much. Great story.
I love pit bulls. I want one so badly. I live in a small house with two kitties and a husband that doesn’t want more animals. I want a pittie! Everyone I met is so sweet and loving
Until about 2 or 3 years ago I was an idiot who believed all the negative about Pittie's. The Dodo opened my eyes. They are the most loving souls one could welcome into their families.
💖💖💖💖💖💖 these sweet fur babies are beyond special. Polo looks like my girl whom I Iost 🕊️💟 and they're such funny goofballs and lickers. Grandma and the Granddad formed a sweet bond and the babies with their fur siblings and Dad and Mom is heartwarming🥰.
I love pitties, i have 4 of them and they are spoiled ...They eat better than me lol Bedtime can sometimes be a mission as all 4 want to be by Daddy ❤ I have my Favourite 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐶
Pitbulls and Pitbull mixes are the most loving dogs ever. I hope more people will come to realize this someday ❤🐾😍 I love my rescue pittie she's the center of my world!

Now I've got custody of my grandpup.. he's turned into a grandpa's pup now. Imma have a hard time giving custody back to my son if he ever wants him back.

Can't agree with you more. My little dog always approaches my feet when i get home. Just like a little baby !!!!
My pitbull mix's best friend is my mother in law. He absolutely adores her. I do, too, so its good:)
NAH MY PIT-LAB HOWLS AND WHIMPERS WHEN MY GRANDPA COMES. granted they take her on like, 8 mile walks BUT STILL. We never get that love even when we're gone for 2 weeks.

That woman gave her mother a completely different view of life. Wonderful gift.

Thank you adopting a senior dog! 14? That’s incredible! ❤
Thank you all for being you! I'm sorry you lost your girl but I'll bet her time with you was the very best of her life.
Don’t wait too long. There’s somebody else out there that needs you.
Such a pitie, that you found her so late. But she had the best time in her life with you. Sorry for your loss and grief.
Congratulations to your mother and her brave attempt at facing her fears that's incredible congratulations to both of you.
I started setting my alarm to get up earlier than I needed to so I have a whole hour to dedicate to cuddle and play with my dog. She loves it. She gets jealous of my phone so she loves the time where the phone is down and it’s all about her. It’s become one of my favorite hours of the day ❤

Many older people are not willing to change, that Mom is a special woman.

Amen! So beautiful.. her love and courage and that she's finally been able to beat a lifetime fear
My niece's Pittie, a 135 pound lap dog, crossed the rainbow bridge in March. He was so playful and very protective of her and her two sons. He's still missed, he was the bestest boy.
Im sorry for this huge loss, pets really take a part of their significant people's heart, RIP 💔🐾
🙏 ❤️
He’s always going to watch over her, and when the time is right, he’ll pick out another friend. That the nature of the pure love that is animals.
No pitbull is 135 pounds! Jesus, you guys are so eneducated about pitbulls. AN AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER has an average weight of 30 to 60 pounds.
🕊️❤️🙏🏽 Condolences and you're not alone💐. Lost my sweet pitty girl in Oct and it's still hard every day.

Bronson and Kush have a very dedicated dad. I don't know anyone who would get up early to spend time with their dog
Beautiful boys! Puppy and people! Beautiful family! Thank you for your service as a fireman!

Bronson is such a preciously handsome little hippo, and his entire family so adorable and loving! ❤❤❤
Adjusting and accepting sacrifices to your day to create time for the dogs and your family is truly exceptional.
