    🩺 My AWESOME Dental Team 🩺
    I recommend every single one of these providers! Dr. Joshua Wohlgemuth and his staff (Oral Surgery Partners) are by far THE nicest healthcare professionals I have ever worked with! I have been in their consistent care for almost 2 full years now. In my current experience, they take cultural competency seriously and they make sure the patient understands every aspect of what is going to be done to them. Working with them certainly has put me at ease. They are also cost-efficient compared to other oral surgeons in LA!

    So thankful you shared this! You look great and the swelling (or lack thereof) is kindof amazing. Hope you are continuing to recover and will share your tips and tricks for those of us on this journey. Braces on tomorrow morning 😬

      Yes! As soon as I can talk better. I’m going to share everything I did to help reduce the swelling! I was king of shocked that majority of my swelling was gone after 7 days. As I’m currently in week 3 and back at work, most people have no idea I even had surgery bc the swelling is so minimal 😭👏🏾 which im super happy about! Good luck with your braces tomorrow! Eat something you like before because the first few days with braces on is soooooo frustrating!

    I've been told by dentists and surgeons to get this done because of an overbite/open bite...but...I'm not sure I could do this. Hope you're all healed now!

    Im such a mouth breather….and knowing that I cant open my mouth to take a deep breath after surgery has me SUPER anxious. I dont think Im gonna feel like Im getting enough air…especially with the congestion youve mentioned before. Were you a mouth breather prior to surgery or no?
    Also your profile looks SO good!

    • @kyyahabdularchives
      @kyyahabdularchives  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Omg! Sooo I was nervous about this too. I actually spent like 3 weeks using the Calm app teaching myself to calm down by taking deep breaths through my nose. I did breathe through my mouth quite often before the surgery and I was fine! When you come out of surgery you are even thinking about anything. You’re just trying to figure out where you are and what’s going on. They gave me a nasal decongestant so I was okay majority of the time. There was just one day I was congested and couldn’t use the decongestant so I had to use a saline spray. You’ll be able to breathe just fine I PROMISE. Im normally an anxious person (even if it doesn’t look like it) and I was okay. I also stayed in the hospital for 3 days and they monitored my oxygen levels every 6 hours. Each time I was either 99% or 100% oxygenated. When I got home I used my Apple Watch to do the same thing and got the same results. Hopefully this reply puts you are ease because you’ll be okay and will come out of the surgery feeling like a new person (for the better) 🤍✨

    I‘m currently 2 weeks post op myself. You look amazing!! I am more swollen on one side and my surgeons told me that cold compress will no longer help with swelling at this point. Do you use warm compress during your 2nd week?

    • @kyyahabdularchives
      @kyyahabdularchives  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I started using warm after week 2!! Also using rollers really help. Like the ones I was using in the video

      Thank you! I didnt even know you could have a plate removal surgery! I really dont like the idea of going under again but if I had to have another surgery for some reason I'd add on the plate removal. May I ask why you decided to remove them?

      @@kyyahabdularchives I developed an infection near one plate, I also wanted to improve my sensation and just get rid of the hardware since I didn’t like the feeling of having it inside me! But it’s totally up to patient if they want to undergo it😊
