    I recommend every single one of these providers! Dr. Joshua Wohlgemuth and his staff (Oral Surgery Partners) are by far THE nicest healthcare professionals I have ever worked with! I have been in their consistent care for almost 2 full years now. In my current experience, they take cultural competency seriously and they make sure the patient understands every aspect of what is going to be done to them. Working with them certainly has put me at ease. They are also cost-efficient compared to other oral surgeons in LA!

    Soooo helpful! I’m just starting week 4 and the exercises. Also, still dealing with numbness like you did, but my swelling is more prominent so heat packing as well. You look great!

    Hi! Glad to know you’re recovering pretty smoothly! Thank you for your video. I am also week 4 of post op & Im having a hard time with opening my mouth wide enough. My surgeon didn’t give me any of the popsicle sticks, but I’ve been trying to open my mouth each day. I can’t actually close my lips & I don’t know if anyone else has experienced the same issue or if you’ve experienced this before your 4th week mark
    Thank you! 🙏🏾

      It was a bit stuff at first I cant lie! But as the weeks went on and I used the popsicle sticks it got much better. You can buy some popsicle sticks on amazon but call him and ask if he is okay with it because everyones treatment plans are going to be a bit different. I am 4 months post op now and feeling much better beside the pins and needles numbness. Interesting that you can close your lips, are they still swollen?

      @@kyyahabdularchives Thank you Kyyah! Thats good to know. wow, time is flying for you & Im hoping the numbness completely subsides. Yes! I have my pre op appointment tomorrow, so I'll ask him about that. Right, my lips are still swollen & I did ask him about it & he just said they'll eventually close. Thanks again!

    Appreciate these videos soooo much (as I’ve already told you haha)! I love how you broke down how week 1 and 2 are swelling, week three is beginning to speak, and week four and talking and returning to life. This has been very encouraging for me, as I plan to only be taking 4 weeks off work for my surgery, so I have hope that I’ll be decent at the 4 week mark. I continue to wish you the best and a speedy, full recovery! 🤍

      4 weeks is def the minimum amount you should take. I made the mistake of going back to work (remote) after 2 weeks and I regret it. Im exhausted everyday bc my body simply doesn’t have any energy lol. Luckily my boss is understanding and cutting me MAJOR slack when she can. I am so glad these videos are helping you! Def makes it worth while doing all this content creation. Week 1 was def the harder than all the rest so rest assured each day certainly gets better! Keep me posted on your journey 🤍✨

    If you don't mind me asking you can you make a video on jaw surgery essentials as what did you bring along with you to the hospital and was useful through your recovery process.

    Thank you for sharing your jaw surgery journey. My 16 yr. old daughter will be having double jaw surgery this summer. We are so nervous. She is so tiny and I’m so worried about her losing a lot of weight. How many pounds did you lose if you don’t mind me asking please? Thank you, you look stunning beautiful!

    • @kyyahabdularchives
      @kyyahabdularchives  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hope I’m not too late to reply! I lost about 15-20 pounds. Im also relatively small. 5’8 130’s lbs and I dropped to the 120’s. Blend nuts in the shakes to keep on her weight and blend with protein shakes not water or juice. You need to pack as much liquid protein as possible and she should eat as much as possible. I drank stuff all day. Losing weight is a part of the process and it can’t be stopped but it can be lessened. Your daughter will be okay! ❤️

    Are you able to open your mouth fully like before the surgery? If not how many popsicle sticks are able to put in? I did my surgery on 23 March, i cant open my mouth fully. I can put in 8 popsicle sticks with a bit pain.

    • @kyyahabdularchives
      @kyyahabdularchives  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im 11 weeks post op right now and I can fit 18 popsicle sticks! I can open fairly wide I would say. Now I’m just waiting to regain feeling in my bottom lip

My parents also can’t accept it and they think that I’ll die or I ll be paralysed. So please let me know. Also when you do facial expressions do you feel the metals , or when u touch ur face??

    Do you have numbness on your lips and cheeks ? Or is it concentrated around your chin and lower jaw only ?For example if you were to bite into an apple would you be able to feel it with your lips ?
