May I ask a question? I started my braces journey and have an underbite…did you experience any discomfort or trouble biting when you started your braces and if so did it go away?
OH MY GOD your montage…. I wasn’t ready. I am 10 days post OP and even though I’m still so swollen the liberated feeling of being able to close my mouth completely without thought is just …..soul cleansing. Your results are amazing and I’m so happy you were able to get this done. We do it for our inner children!!!! ❤
the ending, hearing your childhood self singing literally made me cry. i’m about to go through this surgery in the next few months and i can totally relate with the part about having to smile differently to avoid people seeing your protruding lip. a lot of childhood insecurities manifested from my underbite issues and i’m ready to finally put that chapter behind me.

@@shantavanee doing good. I’m wearing my mask in public for now due towards swelling goes down slow. Slow process but seeing positive results with bite and overall look. Just takes time 😂. I’m about 6 weeks now. Starting to feel my face after it’s been numb since surgery. The only thing numb pretty much is somewhat my lips and chin. Feel free to ask me more questions 😄
3:43 “Would I do it again?…Absolutely not” 😂😂😂 I feel that‼️ I’m 3.5 weeks post op knowing it was worth it with no regrets, not seeing the full benefits of it yet. But knowing I would not do this again 😂. That first week was hell. Especially at night for me. But I’m glad I did it 👌🏾

But As far as insurance goes I’m covered by Aetna and I’m so fearful of being denied. Everything thus far has been fine and without any issues however I do understand the difference between cosmetic and medically necessary. My oral surgeon is confident that I will be fine but it’s just the unknown. I wish you had a direct email where you can answer some of our questions your viewers may have about this procedure being that this is very personal for many of us. Your videos impacted me so profoundly that you actually helped me gain the motivation and confidence to get my surgery as well so thank you for the valuable information and gentle push in the right direction.

@@lucb5478 my surgeon said I should be able to go back to work after 3 weeks. The first week I was really in bed with the ice packs and learning how to swallow all over again and dealing with the pain by day 5 I was able to get up & move around but I was still dealing with a lot of pain

Do you have super sensitive upper teeth since the surgery ? I had my double jaw surgery mid-December and whenever air touches my teeth I’m in pain to the point I have to cover my mouth when I speak. I am scared because I see no improvement
