Ladakh Series-1: Strategic Importance of Chushul Sector

    - In the intervening nights of 29th and 30th August, and then subsequently on 30th and 31st August, the Indian Army took a series of steps to control the ridge-line along the Kailash range in the Chushul sector.
    - This development is being seen from a narrow perspective of its impact only on the Chushul and Pangong Tso sector.
    - As is shown in this analysis, by taking the ridge-line along with important features like Rechin La, Rezang La, Mukhapari, Gurung Hill, Black Top (possibly), Indian Army has removed a major threat to our India's defenses in the Eastern Ladakh sector.
    - Location of Chushul is such that any break-out by the Chinese from Spanggur Gap gives them an option to mount offensive against Indian positions towards north as well as south.
    - The Chinese army has in theory isolate Indian positions and troops in the Chang Chenmo river valley (Hot Springs, Gogra), Ane La pass, Fingers Area, block DSDBO road, or mountain an offensive against Leh along Darbuk-Chang La axis.
    - Towards south, Indian positions and troops in various sectors like Demchok, Ukdungle, Chumur etc can be isolated, their road link with Leh broken and troops attacked from the rear.
    - And the biggest threat is that Chinese break-out from Spanggur Gap gives them a possibility to develop a major offensive towards Leh through the highway which runs along the Indus river.
    - Please see the analysis and share your feedback and comments in the comment section.
    - Also, if you like the analysis, do subscribe to the channel and share it with others as well.

I have been following the recent developments in Eastern Ladakh very closely and have also marked the heights on the ridge line which were recently occupied by Indian troops. You have very clearly explained in simple layman's terms the strategic significance of these proactive steps taken by the Indian Army and how it would affect the overall security of the area. Please follow up with the next series

One of the best presentations I've seen to this date. Please make bold lines to mark Chinese claim lines / disputed boundaries. The whole topography is a bit hard to follow. You can also stop using the same color to illustrate roads or junctions on the map. I'd appreciate it if you can make a future video on the borderlines extending from Ladakh through Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and all the way to Arunachal Pradesh. it would be interesting to see what is at stake on both sides. Kindly post this video in Bitchute as well. YT c-ship is on the rise these days.
This is a race against time. I think BRO should start looking to build roads at multiple points. Exactly what China has been doing for a long time to mark their territory and presence. From what we know, the Ladakh region remains still uninhabitable for average humans, except Ladakhi tribes or Tibetans.
China is spooked out ever since India repealed Article 370 and made Ladakh and Kashmir our Union Territories. China fears the loss of land in both their illegally occupied regions. One of the core interests of china is to keep India far away from the CPEC corridor. it is clear they don't want us anywhere nearby. Them building military bases in Pakistan is to confront India at all times. Their provocations at multiple fronts are to keep India busy and overwhelmed.
Should demarcation had happened during the 1960's, we wouldn't have to confront a bully like China today. Sadly they're a greedy aggressor who follows the policy "Whatever belongs to mine is mine and whatever belongs to you is mine as well"
Anybody who thinks peace with china is still possible lives in a fool's paradise.

Very well done video. I could appreciate the finer points because I have been to Chusul twice in the 2019 , and travelled from there to Leh , via Nyoma. It's incredible that one can actually see the Spangur Gap from the vehicle. Also worth mentioning is that on this road stands the memorial to the 1962 battle of Rezang La , where I stopped and paid homage to the braves of 13 Kumaon.

Sir, incredible content. You just need to get a decent microphone and little bit of sound editing to make it even better.
Couple of suggestions to make it even better.
Instead of one detailed video, you can break it up in 8-10 minutes. This will help you with
    1. Better audience retention. So that people don't leave your video after few minutes. Very important aspect for TH-cam bumping your videos higher in search.
    2. By releasing these videos at regular intervals, you'll have buffer to work on other content
    3. TH-cam bump your content higher in search as they support channels that post regularly.
I would be glad to help you with editing and technical part as I have little bit of experience in making TH-cam videos for stuff like knives, backpacks, rifles, etc.

A small request would be to
    1. improve the Audio Quality..fluctuating and poor Audio was an irritant which you could look at.

Can't we build multiple roads connecting the west and east of Ladakh range through the valleys and digging tunnels where there are high passes like the khardung la so that we can ensure supply to east of the range without being totally dependent on Darbuk-DBO road or going around the range along the Indus valley? We already have two or three such roads but they go through high passes like Khardung La like you said already in this video. That's what we are doing with Zozilla and Rohtang tunnels to make them all weather roads.
