    Thanks for the great videos Jake. For this one, though not actually part of tuning, it might be helpful to recommend that archers check their limb alignment and sight bar alignment before getting started.

    . Thanks for the guidance Jake. I was just finished with walk back tuning when restricted movement order issued by our goverment begin. Now, most thing I could do is practicing my form with terra band and draw my bow without arrow . I have a question though,how frequent we should do these tuning steps?

      Sorry you're stuck inside for a bit, great opportunity for SPTs to gain strength and form work 👍 I would tune my bow if I made major form changes, equipment changes or if my bow stopped shooting well. BTW, If you haven't subscribed I would really appreciate it if you did, so you will be alerted right away when videos drop. THX again for all your support.

    Hi Jake, great video!
    Why do you tune your bare shafts to be a little high and to the right of you fletched arrows?

    Hi Jake, after watching your whole series of tuning it is so much more clear to me what to do about tuning my bow.
    For a time there is already the announcement of your book "Tuning for Performance" on your book saying pre-orders coming soon. 2 questions:
    1: Is there any date on which this book will be available for ordering ? 2: Does this book cover all the subjects you showed in this video series ??

    • @JakeKaminskiArchery
      @JakeKaminskiArchery  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keep an eye out for the presale, probably in a week or two. All subjects covered are in the book, plus more that I haven't covered yet.

    Hey Jake, I know you're probably busy with everyone else's comments, but wanted to ask about something you said in your live stream yesterday. You were saying that a recurve breaks down arrows faster than a compound, and that a recurve might actually need a stiffer spine then a compound of the same weight. I looked up a chart after hearing that and saw the opposit. I'm sure there is something else going on here come up but could you please explain?

    • @JakeKaminskiArchery

    Question re: bare shaft tuning distances. I'm a low draw weight (23lb.) indoor, BB stringwalker. The arrows I shoot (Easton inspire 1000) are within Easton's recommendation, tune fairly well but indicate a spine that is too stiff, even with the maximum limb and point weight. I purchased a set of weaker spined arrows and began bare shaft tuning which tuned okay (but groups not as good as I thought I should be getting) at distances out to 20yds. When I continued tuning out further than that everything went to pot with arrows tailing left, sometimes landing off target. As I only shoot indoors should I be content with these results or attempt to re-tune? Should I fine tune at 20yds. seeking problems with centershop/plunger issues?Is the low draw weight a factor? My limbs are aligned, brace height within manufacturer's spec. Gillo G1, Spig, rest.
    Thanks for your anticipated reply.
    BTW I am a subscriber and have hyped your series to my fellow archers!!!

    Hi Jake. Tks for another video. What you think about the arrow building and bow tuning? Are they related? Can the the bow tuning requires an arrow rebuilt or the oposite? What we must do first? Tks again.

    • @JakeKaminskiArchery
      @JakeKaminskiArchery  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You for sure must have the arrow correct for the weight you are shooting. Or the correct weight for the arrows you already have. Order depends on budget and potentially desired weight to be shot.

    Hi Jake. I'm awaiting delivery of a new bow, a Samick, I don't expect you to have any experience with them, but you may be able to give me a general answer. How far can you safely back out an ILF limb bolt? I understand its different for different brand bows, so I was thinking, if I wind the bolt all the way in, then wind it out and count the turns till it falls out, about half of that might be safe as long as the limb butts are more than halfway in on the bolt shaft? Does that make sense? I've been searching all over the web, but haven't found a reliable answer. Cheers. Love your work!

      In the basic recurve setup video explaining how to make adjustments I cover how far out limb bolts can be adjusted safely.

    When you do fine tuning, which is more important: the group or the feeling? I am currently playing around two setups, one give me the best grouping but the feeling is weird, the string on my finger doesn't feel quite right, the sound is weird, everything makes me feel weird. The other setup, feels much better, makes me feel like the bow is part of my body, but the grouping is not as good as the first one. So I am not sure which one I should go with. My coach told me to go with the second me because the grouping will improve later but I just want more opinions. Thanks!
