Beautiful car! These are growing on me and in the past I haven’t been much of a Volvo person but there’s just something about these.

Never knew that these 5 cilinders had oil consumption problems. The older Volvo 5 cilinder engines really were bullitproof and very reliable.

Always excited to see another update vid! Any interest in starting a second channel dedicated to just personal car updates and more of your older style videos? I've been watching your videos since the virgin mobile phone days (back when it was jakeman2164) and I come back every couple months to see if you have any car update videos.

Man you've been around for a WHILE oh my god. Second channel? Maybe not. But I'm definitely trying to make more personal car videos in my free time now that my work schedule is a little little less crazy and its not 90+ degrees outside every day. Keep an eye out because I get the latest addition to my fleet back later this week and plan on doing tons of videos with it.

Only thing missing from the family fleet is a V60 Polestar - potential Tiguan replacement?

Dude, how did you get the steering wheel “fake aluminum” trim replaced???? Mine is horrible now. Been peeling for 4-5 years now. Crappy finish. But do enlighten me as to what you did. I want to keep the s60 for another 10 years and want to get this awful fake trim replaced. Thanks!

would you recommend me to buy a used car of this with 100k miles? I’m planning to drive for at least 6 years. Also I heard that maintenance fees are really high, is it true? And, how often would you recommend to get them checked or repaired? Thank you

    Hello there,
Does this car have a front fog light? I just got a copy of your mom's car and am trying to figure out where the front fog light is? Thanks.

I have this car with the T5 engine, it is at 79,000 miles and it doesn't consume oil, I check it regularly. I also have a friend whose dad has the same car and engine with 230,000 miles and it doesn't consume oil and has never had a rebuild or anything so I wonder why this car had it rebuilt so early?

    • @Jakeman21642

The bad piston rings on these are completely hit or miss. Some will never burn a drop and some will lose compression by 50,000 miles. I had a 2012 S60 T6 that didn’t burn the entire time I owned it but I’ve also heard the same horror stories with that engine.

@@Jakeman21642 thanks for your response, I haven’t heard of this but I’m glad I won that RNG. Thanks for making so many videos about the S60s, they helped me decide to buy mine :)

Hello, I am planning to buy a Volvo for my 17 year old daughter, Your videos help a lot, thanks. I am thinking of going to a dealer in Miami area or maybe go up to the places the senior citizens live, they sell car with low miles. How old can I buy a Volvo to be able to enjoy good years with the car? Also I am on a budget to buy my kid her first car. I saw 2012, 2006, 2009 Volvos for sale in the web sites, with how many miles do you recommend to get these cars, the less miles the better I think but the issue is the price, I have son that will need a car soon, so I will have to buy two cars pretty soon, they are good kids and going to college soon.
    Thanks for your advice.

There's no magic number for age and mileage just find something that's clean and has been well taken care of. I've been in plenty of cars with well over 100k that I know are well maintained and would trust over a questionable one that's a year newer with 50. If you're not too car savvy definitely pay for a pre purchase inspection from a reputable shop or dealer. If a dealer won't let you take a car for a PPI walk away.
