I really wish TH-cam would lighten up a bit. I got band for making a comment a few days back that was factually true but someone at TH-cam had shut me down for making a true comment based on facts that apparently hurt their feelings. I’m 57 ex military and have to make many decisions based on facts not feelings. I’m not having much luck with the feelings over facts thing. I do however love what you did to this Notos. I got my grandson this gun and I have to admit I am enjoying it also. In fact I have been shooting it more than our LCS and other PCPs we share. I’m looking forward to getting this addition on his Notos. Also looking at its bigger brother the M60B in .22. Great work on your Notos and thank you so much for showing a better way to remove the clips and salvage a fairly decent moderator. Stay blessed big guy.
If your comment has anything to do with speaking against evil, they'll definitely attack you sadly😔
@@heathhalfhill6401 it's ran by our crooked government, TH-cam and Google are huge donators to the democratic woke party, who silence peoples freedom of speech.
My god I came here for the Notos video, left it within a couple of minutes and ended up buying pliers! 🤣👍
Thank you!
I received my Nipex pliers this morning wow. You were spot on Bill, pricey but they are well worth the price, thanks. Now I can get back to the video.
Best part? When Bill is removing the shroud, at no time did I hear:" C'mon ya baaaastaaad"!
We will need to discuss the deeper meaning of your words when we meet again...lol
Good looking build! I have built mine similarly but quite different. I have several videos on my channel on how I built mine.
I will check it out
WOW! What an amazing awesome DIY educational video. Thank you very much sir.🙏
You are most welcome
For anyone that cares, MiP makes some of the best allen/hex drivers on the market. They are geared towards RC racers, like myself, but they are fantastic sharp drivers that are nearly impossible to strip fasteners with...... they are expensive.
Looks great!
Well done, that's bad ass!
Thank you!
it honestly looks awesome I like pink and purple! it was awesome to see that you saved the original moderator as well. awesome work with the lathe that NOTOS kicks butt.
Thank you for your comment!
Very nice Bill. Making it your own! Merry Christmas.😊
Happy holidays!
Simply outstanding!😂👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellence my good Sir👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Enjoyed the craftsmanship aswell.
Awesome, thank you!
I have the plenum kit as well and it has helped in power and a increase in shots.
Hi Johnny, the plenum was the first upgrade I did to mine too!
Look great would like to get the build done on mine
@johnnybbgunner2136 what is the plenum kit, and what is its purpose?
I just recieved my Notos today and I want to build it out. Thanks for any info.
@@donisenhart4123
The plenum kit allows more air storage in the air cylinder giving you about 15 more shots.
Bill you out did yours, the Notos looks amazing and performs just as great 👍. Looking forward to what you do next, I currently have mine in stock form, just some 3D part upgrades that I designed and printed. I already have the plenum kit and just haven't installed it yet, doing some videos as I progress with mine, stop by and get a look. Thanks for the stickers and Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
You're Notos is 🔥
Bill. Awesome little series you have going. I'm hoping to get one of these to mess around and tune on as well. Can't wait to see what you do to the trigger section and if you get this thing shooting hotter.
With such a short barrel I think I'd tune for accuracy over power, but that's me. Glad you like it so far! It is already up 50 fps. Wait till you see what's in store next!
Thanks!
Thank you again Sir!
I wish there were a way to remove the moderator or a guide. Its quite annoying seeing as how the only way to install a plenum is removing the moderator somehow, and it being molded makes it difficult
Didn't I just show you that? And offer a PDF on where to Dremel away the plastic to do it without a lathe?

Very nice job! May have to end up getting one of those! Wife says I have too many now!
What awesome upgrade 😎 thanks for sharing be safe buddy 💯
Thanks 👍
Awesome!
Thank you!
very nice! I have a hatsan jet as well and have been waiting on some upgrades for that as well. im mostly wanting a unchoked slug barrel as well as a power plenum set up. the jet3 is about to hit the market soon with a bunch of new add ons and im kind of kicking myself in the butt for not waiting.
Nice work
I just took a heat gun and melted it some and then cut it off with a hacksaw.🤠
To each his own! I really wanted to see if I could reclaim it, and I did!
Awesome job on saving it
This is such an awesome build! Can you share where you sourced the folding stock adapter? I think that is a great add-on for these little carbines. Thanks Bill! Looking forward to part 3
The folding stock is a hybrid of my own 3D printed parts and an import clone of a folding joint. I may offer them on the targetforge.net site.
Yet another awesome video Bill. Just got me a Notos. This is very helpful information. Thanks again Brother👍😎💯
Right on!
Is there a part 3 of this Notos upgrade, or is there another platform where i can see it?
I'm an old man, just getting into the precharged world.
Just bought my 1st pcp rifle, an AirForce Escape for my 56th bd present to myself . I feel like I did when I was 14, waiting on my Benjamin 342 i got for Christmas...
Man must like some Crown Royal too, assuming of course. Beautiful build, BTW. I murdered mine out. Any color you want, as long as its black, lol. The gun is remarkably consistent with the plenum upgrade. I'm staying right around 728FPS with an extreme spread of 4FPS and a standard deviation of 1FPS before it drops of the reg. On good days anyway. I consider myself a lucky man. I've been trying to get my Avenger this consistent for a minute now.
Me and the Crown don't talk much these days. Thanks for the comment!
What does the Neil Clague accessory cost and is there a part number? Most awesome video, have a great evening!
Neil is a bespoke maker of moderators. You would need to reach out to him for pricing. I'm a huge fan of his work. They are larger than many commercial units, and the tone and performance benefit enormously. Tell him I sent you.
I am on a limited budget and would like a ball park price, that way I don't waste Neil's time bothering him.
I am wondering if a Donny FL would also be a good option.
I hear you. I have found him to be VERY competitive price wise but a lot does depend on what your looking for. He does build to a goal often and some goals cost more than others. I would say ballpark figure $150 or so, but LET him tell you that. I feel out of place even speaking about price in this situation. Neil is an AWESOME guy, get one before he hangs that apron up!
DonnyFL is ALWAYS a great choice. And they look great too. Are they AS quiet? I don't think so, but that quick disconnect mounting is pretty sweet too. Having the ability to tune the barrel harmonically is ALSO pretty sweet. All that being said, on THIS gun, at THIS point in the build, nothing shot better, or quieter than the Neil Clague. Will that hold across different power levels? Only time will tell... Stay tuned! (See what I did there? )
That looks awesome. Maybe you can gain some speed by making the pellet probe (pointy bit) a bit thinner. I hope you understand what I mean, my native language is Dutch you see ;-) This is what FX does with it's slug power kit, it has a very thin pin on the end so the skirt gets more air behind it.
Thanks for the tips!
Did you need to recrown the barrel or anything else after removing the stock moderator?
Absolutely not. No metal was cut, only plastic.
Thank you!
Not to shabby personally I'd leave it all black but that's my taste great machining
Black is definitly clean looking and well stated. I was going for a look that would really pop on camera. Thank you for your comment!
Welllp, I guess I have to buy a lathe now.
Not the worst purchase you will make...Lol Thanks for the comment!
Hi there greetings from Greece, very nice and awesome work. Your Notos is a real beauty. I am not a machinist so can you please tell me what kind of tool is this that you used to attach the moderator to the lathe at 16:48
Do you mean the three jaw chuck?
@@TargetForge at 16:48 you hold the moderator with a metal piece hanging out from one side and you insert that metal to the three jaw chuck and start turning it. What is that metal piece?
It's just a straight piece of scrap steel rod I used as an arbor to see how accurate the bore was to the outside of the part.
I explain what it was right after that.
@@TargetForge Thank you so much for your reply, now I understand.
Send us them in the uk 🇬🇧
Lol! Out of the box they're way over the limit. I suppose they could tune it down if they thought there was a market. I'll actually see Umarex tomorrow, I'll ask!
Since you're making an "ultimate" Notos why even fools around with the barrel at all? Leave it in a box for another day and install the FX barrel upgrade kit.
Yeah! What he said....
Just curious where I can get that side folding adapter for the stock thanks.
I just happen to have a few. It does require two 3D printed parts to adapt it to the Notos. I can offer it as a package. email me at bill@targetforge.net
notos should have the gun made with attach modulator and not a solid front silincer!
And they would then charge you more for it. You can easily spend more on something with that functionality if you like you are completely free to do so. Or, you can modify it yourself. All airguns cannot be all things to all owners. Design decisions = Cost.
That's pretty gay of TH-cam to worry about content with guns or air rifles I got to do is turn on the news every night at 6:00 and you'll see plenty of it!;
Thanks for the comment Jerry. The issue isn't content "about" guns, it is content that is favorable to guns. TH-cam clearly supports a narrative that looks to play down our gun appreciating culture here in the US. The media does the same thing. When was the last time you saw something positive about guns in the news? Are there positive stories out there? Hell yes there are. Are they being kept from you? Hell yes they are. They call television content "programming" for a reason. Break free, do your own research, trust no one, not even me.
Hu? Why did you not show firing the notos with suppressor, stop being ridiculous. You can fire it with it on it, its the installation that you cant show.
And Lo, the TH-cam cornucopia of wisdom has bequeathed us with his pearls of wisdom! Lol. Do you not understand what is going on right now with gun related content on TH-cam? Have you been paying attention? Do you posses a unique view into the future of what TH-cam has instore for content creators in this space? Stop being ridiculous indeed Sir. You do you, I'll do me. Fair enough? Have an awesome day.
@@TargetForge go watch Kendal grays last airgun video, they didn't give him any issues, but hey I guess it's better to be extra careful about it, nothing illegal about an air gun moderator. Maybe if it was a firearms video.
@@TargetForge actually most big airgun channels show them with no issue, like Utah airguns, Airarmshuntingsa, shooter1721
And NONE of them utilize TH-cam monetization for financial support. One day, when you reach that level, you too will face those decisions. Rick is a friend, and gets support from the industry directly, as do many others. I do not have that luxury. Like I said, you do you. Thank you for the comments.
@@TargetForge not true, Kendall is monetized as well, all I'm saying is people do it and still keep monetization, just cannot show the instillation. And I'm not here to be a TH-camr, I'm a viewer and from what I've seen and heard of others experiences with that, is what I usually go by, have a great night brotha! 👌🏼
A box end wrench on your lathe tool holder. Foolish
Pointless angry comment from a very unhappy person, even MORE foolish. Those who share light, always welcome. Those that do nothing but cast shade? Naughty box for you. Your choice.

Yeah! What he said...
This video and all is fine if you are a machinist and have 50k of equipment like you do, or have access to it, that few would. I don't want to redesign and reconfigure the Notos.
Ummm, ok Charlie. It's actually a 1000 dollar used lathe and it could be had for less, I also shared the dimensions so it could be modified with a Dremel tool, no machine shop needed. I also have a mostly stock Notos. I am curious why you would watch a video on building a Notos, only to leave a comment saying you don't want to... I personally don't care what you do with yours, I had a ball pushing mine as far as I could. You'll probably HATE what is coming next for this series. Have a great day Charlie!
Seriously though
I could build a AR 10 with that equipment.
Not going to be playing with a 250 dollar air gun like that😂
He used what he had. And he was lucky “like he said” to have the tool. You are the only thing stopping yourself from doing anything. Use your brain and a little balls and you can make it happen. I would like to thank him for sharing what he did. Thank you for sharing! Don’t worry about all the people who want things handed to them. Thank you
@@2deepjonny Thank you Sir! I often wonder why a guys watches a video about building a custom gun, then takes the time to say he doesn't want to build a custom gun. ???
