The car maker has been facing significant difficulties, marked by plummeting profit margins and a sharp decline in sales. In response, Tesla has slashed prices of its vehicles globally. Driverless Taxi needs 5G. US 5G is 4G, and the driverless taxi will not be able to respond to the real-life situation. I don't hear any mishaps in China. India missed on indigenous production of jet engines, solar panels, high purity silicon, microprocessor chips, and now car batteries (lithium or sodium) also. Chinese EV maker's are too good an alternative for American EVs, even for Tesla. Xiaomi jumping in the mix has shaken even fellow Chinese EVs. BYD, Xiaomi for luxury segment, and Mahindra - Tatas for premium segment will mop-up the EV market. Moreover Hybrid's are making a comeback and the rage about EVs has dipped drastically since last 6 months everywhere.
China has an edge in such technology -> EVs etc.... as expected.India should come up with its own version of EV. Why depend on Tesla ? Similar things were said about Supercomputers in the past and India today has its own Supercomputers.So,it takes some time.Let us wait n see.

China is exporting thousands of these vehicles to EU and America at much cheaper rates .BYD also owns its own transport ships - with a capacity of whopping 4000 cars per shipment.
