    Only get to watch this now, sorry for not giving your video the attention it deserves sooner :) Very cool to see it coming together and how you spiced it up with all the cables. Really sweet work mate!

    Inspiring build thankyou! Will be a gamechanger if the Master retools some of their classics. I give a nod to the stealth revolution...extra thin...best clean up tool invented.

    Nice job on this one Scott. I built the original release and this one looks night and day better. Tamiya really upped their game with this version. I'm looking forward to what you do with the figures.

    I always hate having to take off model seams on models (especially when they are in obnoxious places) but I have to admit there is something satisfying about cutting away a long one cleanly with a knife in one go. Looks like there were plenty to deal with here.

    • @SmallSoldier
      @SmallSoldier  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, their were. But every model has a lot some are just easier to remove than others.🙂

    Hi, a technique I was taught to paint the tires is to use a very thinned down paint so it can use capillary action to show the limit of the tire and metal.

    • @SmallSoldier
      @SmallSoldier  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep that’s pretty much what I was doing. It works excellent!🙂

    Super-clean build Scott! Looks like a sweet kit. I don’t think there’s any way around all that fussy stuff when it comes to German halftrack links. The result certainly reflects the work you put into it.

    I always avoided the Tamiya Kettenkraftrad kit because the one I saw in the 70's had solid metal track and road wheels molded in one piece. This release looks substantially better, so I'll give it a try.

    • @SmallSoldier
      @SmallSoldier  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it’s a brand new tooled kit and light years ahead of anything from the ‘70s.

    Great work..! I think it’s looking awesome. So, here’s a dumb question, how does this kit compare with the Dragon kits (6114,6128,etc.)..?Always looking for the next best kit ya know but I have a few of the Dragon kits in the stash.Anyway it be an interesting review. BTW your shit model is amazing.

    • @SmallSoldier
      @SmallSoldier  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I’d say it’s the leader among Kettenkrads now. The Dragon kits were notorious for bad fit in some areas and the detail wouldn’t be up to today’s standards IMO.

    Hi in your opinion what is the best manufacturer regarding quality 1:35 Figures from ww2

    • @SmallSoldier
      @SmallSoldier  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends on how much you want to spend of course. In my opinion, resin figures are the first choice and that really depends on the brand as well. You can never go wrong with Alpine Miniatures, Bravo 6, Stalingrad and there are some really nice 3D sculpts available now such as H3 models. Of course, there are some resin figure manufacturers that are just plain garbage as well. I always look for proper figure proportions like hands, feet, head sculpts, body language i.e., "Contrapposto" or "body movement" and accuracy in uniform details. As far as plastic you can look for MB, Tamiya and some Miniart figures, although they're hit and miss and there's always a lot of cleanup involved. I could go on forever on this subject and should probably do a separate video on it. Anyway, I hope that helps. Cheers!🙌🍻
