Saw a hint : when you sew the larger square onto the 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” strip sew another line 1/2” away from your diagonal sewing line, and when you trim the waste off you already have a smaller HST instead of two small triangles.
Love this! So easy yet looks complicated. On your scraps, if you go ahead and sew 2 lines on your 2 1/2” blocks, when you trim you’ll get an already sewn HST for a future project.
I think I’m going to try this pattern! It looks like it would use a lot of the scraps that I have accumulated! I love a scrappy quilt and this is beautiful!
Jamie I just love your videos. They are so easy to follow. I have always liked that pattern for a quilt, but thought it was to hard to do. You just made you just made it look so easy. Thank you 😊
I have never liked cube looking quilts but THIS I like. It may be my next scrap project. If I use the folded corner trimmer to trim the rectangles and squares ahead of time, I could use this as a leader and ender project.
You could also do broken dishes or pin-wheels with your larger off-cuts. Bag 'em up to give away, there were a lot of them, that's expensive for rubbish.
Love all your videos! This scrap project is so pretty. We all have scraps and this is the second scrap quilt of yours that I will be making. God bless you!
Sew a second seam on your snowball corners and you will have tiny little half square triangle.to incorporate into your border. I see cube blocks also. Look at it kind of running sideeays. It's similar to tumbling block squares. Love this beauty. Great job.
I’ve never been a fan of making scrap quilts but I love this one. I am currently in the process of organizing my scraps and I plan on making this pattern. Thank you for an awesome video. ❤
I know you are enjoying your new sewing room and your quilt wall! Love it! I like your method of pressing the seams! It takes some thinking ahead, but then your sewing goes smoother! I really like this block and the partial top!
I like to sew a 2nd seam a half an inch away from the first diagonal line on the stitch and flip corners (if I'm not in a hurry). That way, when I cut a quarter inch from the stitching line, the smaller half square triangles are already done. I usually don't bother pressing those until I am ready to use them. I just found your tutorial and really like your tutorial. Thank you❣️
Love this quilt!! I have been dreaming about making1 of those because it's a pattern I saw in the Missions in San Antonio As a wallpaper. Your quilt is beautiful!
Lovely pattern that I hope to try soon. May I ask what if there is a video to make the stained glass looking quilt in the background? It is beautiful!!
This is a similar stain glass quilt. It doesn’t have the black sashing, but is the same technique. Thanks for watching 😊 Kaleidoscope Stained Glass Quilt Tutorial th-cam.com/video/4Emh_XcHBPI/w-d-xo.html
This is great! Im going to use my black and gray scraps for a teen boy quilt. Just to confirm, I need a 2.5 X 4.5 strip of fabric, with a 2.5 square and a 1.5 square of background?
This project is not as easy as it looks. Parts of me wishI hadn’t started this project. Trying to get everything even is a challenge. I’m guess you cut your pieces on an a quilt.

I’m making this one. Very cool, it almost looks like a tumbling block quilt.
I thought the same thing.
The one on the wall looks like tumbling blocks. Awesome ❤
Finally, I come across a person who knows flattering camera angle when you show your face. 😊
And SEWING room! Isn’t it lovely?!
Great way to use up scraps! Could even be leaders and Enders.
Love this! So easy yet looks complicated. On your scraps, if you go ahead and sew 2 lines on your 2 1/2” blocks, when you trim you’ll get an already sewn HST for a future project.
This looks a lot like the old tumbling block!!! Really nice. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I appreciate how you show each step slowly and carefully. Thanks 😊
Ingenious way to construct those blocks. Will you be writing up a pattern?
Looks like your room is coming together! I just happen to have scraps that needed a pattern! Thanks!
I think I’m going to try this pattern! It looks like it would use a lot of the scraps that I have accumulated! I love a scrappy quilt and this is beautiful!
Love the block layout, on your design wall it looks like 3D dimensional boxes, watching you make the blocks has simplified the making of them

Jamie...thanks for explaining all the ins and outs of this block❤❤
I really like the way the design makes those blocks look three dimensional. Looking cute. To think it’s all scraps!
Nice! You do amazingly well without pinning. I'm sometimes a pinner and other times not.
I usually pin more but the seams nest pretty well with these blocks. Thanks for watching 😊
I have always wanted to do this quilt, but it looked so difficult I have never tried. Now I know I can. Thank You.
Very pretty!
I have to agree with the other comments, looks like the tumbling blocks. I definitely will try this, thank you for this pattern

Tumbler block
on the wall it almost looks like hearts
This is great! Im going to use my black and gray scraps for a teen boy quilt. Just to confirm, I need a 2.5 X 4.5 strip of fabric, with a 2.5 square and a 1.5 square of background?
Yes, that is correct. Good luck and thanks for watching 😊
And you have a Corgi
Is a tumbling block quilt?
I love it.
It is very close. Thank you and thanks for watching 😊 Happy Sewing 🧵
did you post how to use two bamboo cuttibg boards to make a big clapper to flatten quilt blocks
Hmm 🤔 no I’m not sure about that. I do have two clappers. Thanks for watching 😊
When making scrap quilts do you ever mix holiday fabric with non-holiday?
I usually don’t but sometimes with a scrap piece you may not be able to tell if it’s a holiday fabric. Happy sewing 😊
Is this the “tumbling blocks” pattern?
Merci! Really 10.000?
What rule are you using and where can I get one?
The Folded corner clipper by Creative Grid’s. It saves a lot of time. Thanks for watching and happy sewing 🧵 😊
What Brand, Make, Model of Sewing machine are you using ?
It is the Juki Haruka TL-18QVP. Thanks for watching and happy sewing 😊
Do you have a pattern for this quilt? If you is there any chance that I can get it.
As of right now I only I have the video. If I can get one uploaded to my website I will let you know. Thanks for watching 😊
This project is not as easy as it looks. Parts of me wishI hadn’t started this project. Trying to get everything even is a challenge. I’m guess you cut your pieces on an a quilt.
Pressing is very important. Nesting the seams really helps. I hope it gets better as it goes. Happy sewing 🧵
