If the James Alexander Vance of Group 8 was 1764-1835, I did the genealogy of a teacher of mine descended from them.
Thanks! They were two different people though; James Alexander Vance of Group 8 was born about 1755 and died about 1821. James Vance (1764-1835) I believe was a son of Samuel Vance and Agnes Penquite, they were of our Group 2b in the DNA project!
