Dear Jill😘, I learn from you to make cake/ healthy food, before I always eat bad food and make me sick ,Thank You very much and Apreciate for All Your Videos 🙏🏼👍👍👍
Jill, the amount of dates used in your recipes makes me want to move to Arizona and grow palm dates. Your dishes are so dreamy. Thank you for showing us the wonderful world of plant based food.
So many folks are NOT reading the comments and are asking the same questions over and over. Jill gave substitutions for Tofu (more cashews), and others have mentioned using white beans instead of chickpeas. Read the comments before posting your own question. It may have been answered already. 🤷🏼♀️
This is so timely, Jill! I always take a vegan cheesecake to my sons's BD and it is this coming Saturday. It has been impossible to find a healthier version than the ones using vegan cream cheese. I'm so excited to try this one! As always, thank you for your excellent content!
It looks gorgeous and I only wish you were right about not being able to taste nutritional yeast because there's alway an exception to the rule and I bet I'm not the only one. Everyone else, Enjoy!
@@tara1638 Trust me after having choked it down 3 times in the last 15 years and having had to taste the nastiness I'm not going anywhere near it. My comment was in response to the "trust me you won't taste it" in the video. I just wish people would stop saying it, it's not true. And, as I state I'm not the only one who can taste it. But thank you for your well meant comment.
Interesting and inspiring. I know I won't ever be able to cook like this but I need some new ideas. It's great to see what's possible on a plant-based diet. I feel like it's a necessity to be able to cook your own food if you're plant-based. I'll be sure to check your other videos.
Try white beans that are very well cooked (preferably soaked overnight first). I would also replace chickpeas with them because, in my experience, they have a much more neutral taste. You can also make many things with them that replace dairy and even mayo.
Looks great, Jill! Suggest you add the word "cooked" before chickpeas. Trust me on this. Some folks will think you mean dried raw chickpeas!
Thanks for the tip!

I loved cheesecake before becoming vegan I miss it, but I’m definitely going to try this this weekend. Looks delicious. Can’t wait!

This looks amazing! I am curious though .. what does the nutritional yeast add to it?
It looks so delicious!! I’m looking forward to making this! Thank you so much!
Very nice recipe Jill!!!✝️❤️❤️✌🏻✌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Looks delicious! Am making this asap!
Jill this looks amazing! I will give this a try😊
Seems absolutely wonderful :D so beautiful :) thank you for sharing
Nice, I'm going to make it
How do you measure solid bulky ingredients like dates?
I just pack them into the measuring cup for a rough measurement.
❤ amazing 🤩
baked cheesecake, YESSS
So Yummy 😋
Hi Jill.... Looks delicious.... In case that I dont want to use tofu of any kind... What can I use instead?
You can use cashews
Stupid question here: I've never used dates. Do you de-pit the dates or ground up the pits? This looks really good!
Take the pits out.
@@fuglsnef thanks
You can easily split the dates by hand to remove the pits. Be careful not to grind any of the pits or you could destroy your machine! 😊
Lol, nothing is ever stupid 😊
Hi, the video and the recipe card on your website say two different measurements for the dates, in the crust. I’m wondering which is correct
The crust has 1 cup dates not 2/3
Looks and sounds delicious but I can’t eat soy products. Any suggestions as a substitute for the tofu?
Looks fabulous, but can you substitute the tofu for something else? I don't eat tofu. Thanks 🎉

🤯🤯🤯🤯
Can leftovers be frozen?
Yes, it helps to slice and put parchment paper between slices before freezing.
Yum....I wanna give it a go. But I can't eat tofu. What can I sub it with? Thanks😊
I would love to hear about an alternative also.
I have date syrup can I sub the dates for thst ?
Can I replace the chickpeas with something else?
My wife is deathly allergic to chickpeas. Any substitutes?
I would recommend using very well cooked white beans. Soak them overnight, then cook until completely tender.
What can you use to replace the tofu? We have some in our family with a soy allergy.
You can use more cashews
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow Thank you! 😊
What can you use instead of tofu ? I can’t eat tofu.
You can use cashews
What could i replace cashews with if cant have nuts, already replacing chickpeas with haricot beans 😂 due to allergens
You need a source of fat to make it taste good, can you eat tahini?
I don’t really have a replacement suggestion for the cashews. They are what gives the cake richness and body.
@@fuglsnef oh thats a possibility.
