Please note this was filmed BEFORE his trial date was changed to March 7, 2025. There is a statement in here about the December 20, 2024 trial date, but March 7, 2025 is now the correct date.

I only caught the last few minutes. But on rewatch there are a couple of things I took away here, 1. Historical Awareness. Recently in the USA, we've watched helplessly as our historical monuments got torn down. So watching Ismael the Ass's tail do this in other countries ticks us off.
    2. This is the unification that we want to see, in the USA and everywhere. We can be united. We do ALL have similar morals, feelings, and limits... this is where the line will be drawn.

He is a person who benefits from everything politically. He also organized the JS apology event to achieve his political achievements in the future. Three innocent UTubers who were tracking JS were used by his project and were criticized by many Koreans. I am a Korean-American and have been following this, both American and Korean coverage/streams.
I honestly don’t buy the interviewee’s response to the intent of getting Johnny to the statue for the apology. They wanted to take justice into their own hands and receive praises for getting an apology out of him. Otherwise, why would you hug and take selfies after the fact when you don’t even know what he actually said?
I also caught Yoodalgeun’s brief live stream (which he immediately stopped after 5 minutes and took down) right after he came back from that meeting at the statue. He was frustrated and said that he strongly felt Johnny’s apology was disingenuous.
All in all, this guy knew he fucked up and is now trying to twist the story to make it seem like he did this to bring the issue to a brighter light. Did they succeed in getting more coverage? Accidentally yes, because everyone was pissed off even more after that. But was that his original intent? HIGHLY doubtful.

He mentioned that previously, left leaning people disrespected the comfort women's statues... Can someone explain to me the reasoning behind it? I mean I know the onedimensional left/right classification doesn't make much sense since it stopped being about wether or not to decapitate the french monarch, but generally, I would expect the left as seing the comfort women as a feminist issue, and since south korea is known for having a very strong feminist movement, I cant really grasp the reasoning, why left wing koreans would disrespect these statues?

Korea is the most welcoming country I've been to, but you will face consequences if you take advantage of their kindness. They are a nation that has suffered at the hands of foreign occupation many times over its history, yet it has persevered and maintains it's distinct culture and people despite the attempts by other nations to dominate them. You would have to be an absolute 바보 to think you can change this, they will show patience until you prove you wish to take advantage, then they will take you down swiftly if you are not acting in good faith.
Korea is the one foreign nation I would fight for outside of the US, because they welcomed me with open arms and treated me like family for years when I was stationed far from my home and away from my own family.

China continuously facilitates the sexual slavery of North Korean defector females yet not a single cent has been asked from China about it. China has also done lots of terrible things to their neighbors yet China never officially apologizes about it. So it's either we all apologize about it or we don't apologize about it.
