I'm really liking season 2 of squid games. Both seasons I've found horribly depressing of what people from desperate circumstances will done. Irl people signing up for this type of thing. Yes, for this people not dying, but the part I found terrifying about squid games. I know there would be people openly opting to go play, and many wouldn't even need to be that desperate like squid games. I remember ages ago a Russian Oligarchs kid got a write up in a paper, because he offered like 1000.00. to pee on someone. The basis of his offer you are below me and you'll be happy to let me do whatever to you.

Of course, if you torture me and make me desperate it's different. But I wouldn't do anything you ask even if I got infinite money from it. So I don't think everyone has a price for that, as not everyone cares about being filthy rich. Plus I can become rich on my own if I really want to.

totally agree with Asmon saying most people don't understand numbers. I used to be on a student committee for years, discussing budget. Soon, I realized that people's understanding of money ended at 1000$. That is it, 1000 is the biggest number most people can still easily understand. They would have 30 minute detailed discussions about proposals that asked for 200$, but as soon as you went above that 1000 mark, the discussion went under 5 minutes. The vast majority of the committe wouldn't even participate in the discussion anymore. It seems crazy, you'd think it'd be much more, but it's not.

I’ve found people are VERY smart within their wheel well of knowledge. A trucker with an IQ of 85 and 20 years experience will know more about maintaining his truck and driving it in dangerous conditions than a 180 IQ genius who read a book on the topic.
But people tend to think their knowledge and ability to do what they’re comfortable with also extends to other things. It does not. The intelligence of people outside their narrow pockets of knowledge tends to be laughably incompetent, and for whatever reason, most have no desire to expand their thinking to include these new avenues.

I know. First hand. Same with just personal finance. I think why the man I married is so financially disciplined and frugal, is because he comes from a wealthy Christian family that didn’t believe in borrowing or showing off. And every buck matters, after 100, 1000 or 10000. Just because you have more than you usually do or acquire money to manage than usual doesn’t mean it should be treated as throw away money.

Yo! Player 320 here. I was in the first row to drop, dominos style. It was wild for sure! Also for those saying that that first self elimination game would've been more interesting if we didn't know how many people hit their button.. We didn't know! The last few seconds they turned off the counter..we found out after the time ended how many hit it! In the LAST second 30+ people hit the button! It was INSANE!!
Oh, and the self sacrifice game..it was actually over in 12 seconds...
The psychology behind that game was actually so fascinating.. if you watched Episode 0, from Vegas, we got our Beast numbers from the flag game.. sooo the lower numbers 1-400/500 were the strong willed, go getters, and the athletes..so OF COURSE 1-400 didn't want to self sacrifice! When money is your God, morality no longer is of consequence. When you have a giant corporation like Amazon funding and rewarding the greediest people for the entertainment of an Elite member of society like Mr. Beast, it kind of writes itself. In the bts it shows that the actual rules are more defined and include that your tower has to be built when the timer runs out

Already saw the second episode of the show. With spoiling as little as possible, I can say that Jimmy is really doing his best to bring out the worst in people and show that everyone has a price. He doesn’t even make it that hard to get them to sell out their team. This show lives up to its name, because it attempts to bring out the beast in the participants.

The funny thing about the self sacrafice game is that you are not saving people. 3 rows are going to be eliminated either way. You might as well try to stay.

@@odenkazit’s all scripted, even the lines are scripted, that’s why they pick the same people every time.. and some contestant you will not even see before they are eliminated 😅
I don’t know how can someone even assume this is not scripted, maybe I just don’t watch shit like this and can identify bullshit when I see it easy? I don’t know

For the people saying that the 1st 52 contestants showed up for 5 minutes and left with an easy 20 grand, they did no't lmao. If you just check the newest video of MrBeast, they already took part in about 4-5 tough challenges to get to the beast games. Not saying it was a bad decision in their part, just clarifying that it wasn't just a hey I showed up and am leaving now with the easiest 20 grand in my bucket.
