What storm would that be? My prediction is that if the CCP moves on Taiwan the 3 gorges dam will come under fire in a full out war. CCP is already making moves on the border with India. They seem to be way over extended in military resources.

Things are getting better in the US especially now that we will have an America first administration again. The problem is worse in China because the CCP does not care about their citizens. The problems China are experiencing they have been creating for a very long time. Lots of countries do not want to invest in China anymore thanks to XIs Wolf warrior tactics against the West.

I lived in Beijing years ago. The Chinese are extremely motivated. They study hard. They work hard to save money

I'm not a fan of the "at any cost" state of mind. I understand your parents are paying lots of money to send you across the world to study at one of the most prestigious universities, but that doesn't make it okay to cheat at school, especially in classes that have a curve. I studied mathematics and we had graded homework. I would always see a group of 5-10 Chinese students copying off each other in the common area. It was very frustrating staying up until 2am every morning working on homework sets and working 13.5 hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday just to see spoiled international students with no morals cheat the system, the American system built on honor.

It is not the people it is their government. Communism is not the way to go. Christianity and freedom are what work. That is why America was so successful. They were a Christian country with a government based on what is good for the people. As America left God behind it suffered more and more. As America turns back to God it will be successful again. I pray that the people of China will be able to overturn their communist government and come to Jesus.

They just let too much immigration occur, which put too much pressure on the housing market and inflated prices everywhere. They were worried about the decline in population growth, and over injected. Its gonna swing back and forth for a while until it re-balances. Could take 10 years.
Focus on blue collar work, infrastructure like water, electricity, sewer, public works... or necessities like food, housing. If you have a job in these categories, you'll always be in demand. If you are a financial analyst, you may find the company you work for doesn't need analysis, it just needs to produce products cheaper.
Hope things go better for our Canadian neighbors.

Yep, while I feel for a lot of honest hardworking Chinese I can tell you that in 2016, when they pretended America was 'starting a Trade War' with China (in fact, Trump only ever responded to their 20 year long trade war) but the number of these students at the time, the sneering, the twisted glee, the arrogant pre-boasting of how.. and this was the phrase... "Hehe now China will punish Trump!". Smirking grins about how the USA was about to be 'Punished' for daring to try and fight God-Nation China.
Nowwww the USA will learn it's lesson and be punished. the sneering grins.
This disgusting arrogance, the "Now CHINA is the Captain NOW!!" , the arrogance so grotesque they believe they can command reality to change if they wanted to make the 'USA Virus' become believed by all.
PLENTY of these now unemployed 30 years olds were, just 10 years ago, many just 5 years ago and STILL many today think nothing of boasting about God China and how they will 'punish' everyone and fantasizing about 'The West' now being humiliated by their Godlike superiority as they grovel and squirm at what they deserve from GodChina.
Funny but it only took a few years of NOT giving them lots of money, aid, special charity status and lower standards and their already a little less certain they will 'Punish The West' immediately.
But, they STILL believe that 'soon', eventually, Chinagod WILL make them have more money than 'The West' and punish them and Japan and India and ... not now. but its prophecy, it WILL happen eventually.

We flew in and out of Wuhan in February and there were less than 30 passengers on each flight. 9 Years ago the same journey was packed to the gills with no spare seats. When we were in the city it seemed fairly busy, but the one lad we know was struggling to get enough passengers for his business that is well established. Making visiting China with visitors having to go to the consulate is an incredibly foolish policy, and as a result tourism and business visitors from abroad are through the floor. Each visitor would be spending a lot of money between hotels, taxis, food, tickets for events etc. The authorities need to be aware that there are plenty of places in the world without these ridicules costs and time wasting. When we went ten years ago we simply posted our passports off with the form to obtain a visa. If I am living a long way from a consulate I do not need to waste time travelling etc to simply get a visa, I choose an alternative holiday destination.

There's the conspiracy theory that everything is being manipulated behind the scenes by globalists. Their plan was to already have completed America's destruction and watch the rest of the world crumble without the U.S. into the NWO. While this may be an exaggeration, I think it is safe to say Somebody has been manipulating the worldwide situation behind the scenes.
There's a theory that the world will experience an economic depression every hundred years. And to get things moving again, someone will declare war.

Finding a job for less pay but the area you live in has lower cost including housing. You missed your chance to buy a home at 150k now you need to find a home that's falling apart for 240k with a 50k downpayment, learn how to repair and fix things just like most home owners on a budget, a family can accumulate 50k in a 1 or 2 years you're not the only one grinding just depends on how you budget yourself, learn to adapt like the rest complaining about cost isn't stopping the others who have less advantage than you to make up the difference. This isn't about being smart but finding solutions I for one probs make less than you and have a home with these rates it's all about location you pick if your goal is to atleast have a home for yourself

So much cheap and harmful junk filler, much of which is banned in other western countries.
We have chemicals that were banned from cosmetics in the 1990s because they caused cancer yet are still in food, because the food lobby is more powerful than the cosmetics lobby. We fill food with subsidized high fructose corn syrup because sugar is addicting and tasty, despite being horrible to our health and magintudes worse than unprocessed added sugar. We fill food with gluten because wheat is government subsidized and gluten is heavy and cheap, giving the illusion of food with it being more substantial than it actually is. @@ikeafanatic1749 It is true that China has a rich culture, but much of that cultural richness stems from periods when there was a greater emphasis on individual efforts rather than uniform compliance. For example, during the Zhou Dynasty, significant value was placed on individual artistic endeavors. Similarly, the period of Emperor Wu Zetian was marked by a flourishing of artistic freedom and creativity. However, later periods shifted away from individualism and focused more on perfecting collective efforts.
China’s cultural emphasis is primarily placed on the collective, where uniformity is often revered over individualism. This has led to extremely rigid standards for sameness, to the point where new and divergent cultures, ideas, and innovations are often subject to intense scrutiny, which can stifle initiative. Mistakes are frequently seen as weaknesses rather than valuable learning opportunities.
That said, China has much to commend. The focus on uniformity and collective commitment makes the country exceptionally strong in areas like refinement, efficiency, and improvement. However, these strengths often come at the cost of innovation, where boldness and individual creativity are essential.

Then I guess they decided to sell off the space to people who want to use it for all that kid stuff. A few other places with lots of workers too aren't nearly as crowded as they used to be. Seems like a lot of people have just gone back to their hometowns to stay with their parents. Shenzhen on the other hand though is really bustling.
