A Few of NJ's Sleepy Grass Strips. Worth a quick flight to visit these hidden gem airports.

  • Taking the Cub to visit Kroelinger (29N) airport in Vineland, NJ as well as Vineland-Downstown (28N). Both of these Airports are kept in pretty good shape and relartively quiet. Kroelinger is hardly ever used and has a BBQ place close by. Vineland-Downstown is a little busier with Fuel, Hangars and Crop Dusting on the field. Downtown has a VOR on the field and is a great spot for Tailwheel training because there are no Obstacles and the grass is kept in phenomenal shape.

Good morning from Borrego Springs Ca. I’m finally caught up since Amelia’s video. So great to see Anna go from scared to loving the flight. You have a beautiful family and please stay safe. As always God Bless you and your family. ❤️🙏

Looked like a great day to be out flying.
Nice weather, grass strips, and a J3 -- doesn't get any better.
God bless, and y'all stay safe out there in the wild blue yonder.

I heard JD making a radio call at Cross keys while you were on final to Downtown. You should have continued down to Buck. Aaron has made a few improvements there in the last year.

@@frankpriolo7735 haha Yeah I always hear JD! Such a good dude. I know, I’m actually embarrassed I haven’t been down to Bucks yet. I was a little short on time but could have probably stopped in. Next video will he Bucks and a few private strips further South.

I was taking lessons at Cross Keys at the same time as JD. He continued onto his Commercial, while I had to drop out first due to The Pandemic, then due to finances resulting from the Pandemic. Now I am an armchair pilot, watching TH-cam videos like yours. Did you know JD goy his PPL before he got his driver’s license. His uncle used to drive him to his lessons. Great guy! Has a great little 150.

what's the benefit of sitting in the back, away from the instruments? Would love to own a cub or a 152. Cheers.

Legally the J3 without Wing Tanks you sit in rear for Weight and Balance. It’s actually a much better view (think wide angle lens vs narrow) and more room back there

Hey! For this plane you would just need a "sport Pilots License" along with a Tailwheel endorsement. It's definitely the most cost efficient way without sacrificing any fun
