Hi Nikki! Now that I know that Gwen Marston is your quilting hero, I know why YOU are MY Kindred Spirit!!! Your videos are joyful and wonderful. I am grateful for all of them and am now catching up on those I've missed. You are the best. Hugs from Canada.
Simple and GORGEOUS! I always love watching you for the tips, techniques and inspiration, but for your wonderful spirit and sense of humor as well. Thank you most of all for those!
Inspiration for the day. My granddaughter is with us this week and wanted to sew last night at 9pm, She's 6. This will be a great project we can start and finish.
Yes, you will be so happy when you remember you have this runner all ready to go when Xmas rolls around! It's the same day every year but I'm never ready...too much with church, family, etc. - this is an early gift to yourself!
Thank you so much for this pattern! I am going to use this to make a table runner house warming/ birthday present for my favorite uncle and I think a second one for my mother-in-law. I absolutely love watching your tutorials. 😊
In addition to enjoying your sewing skills, I also appreciate how well you film and edit your videos. BTW, I love the little wonky book I bought from you!
So fun! Thank you Nikki for the idea and encouragement to work on Christmas in July. Just finished similar project using 2 1/2" squares and scraps from binding strips from quilts for Israel project that ladies from our church completed. I wanted each to have a remembrance. It was so gratifying to use scraps that would normally be tossed! Many blessings!
I ordered a Ruby Star scrap pack from Amazon earlier this year and it was nice. I thought I'd order another scrap pack and see if I might get one that I liked better. Guess what ? Yep, got the same pack that I ordered the first time. Not complaining, just saying.
I haven’t had that happen, but I know some brands are more stretchy than others. The ones I buy tend to be pretty stable. But there is an iron on tape product made just for this purpose, so you could try that!
When did you get that scrap bag?!I may or may not have bought 3 a few months ago to start quilting with my daughter but I need more for Christmas projects!
I'm a new viewer on your channel. I like this table runner a lot & will try it. I'd also like to see the tutorial for your mid century quilt you showed in this video. Would you please share the link?
Nikki, I just bought the Ruby Ragdoll pattern with the red, rainbow & pink pig tail hair, but I can’t find the tutorial in your doll playlist… can you direct me please
Hi! There’s not a specific Ruby hair video but in the ballerina hair video, there’s a part where I say what to do if you’re wanting pig tails, so that will help!
I found you recently and have been enjoying all your tutorials. Your improv methods are new to me but are so freeing! Question- what was that tool that flashed quickly on the screen when you were pinning the pieces together?

That is very cute!!
You are very pleasant to listen to for your tutorials. Thanks for the inspiration.
that is so cute who would have thought of using black for the binding thank you for that idea
Takes me so long to get stuff done 😂 If I start now it will be ready for Christmas!
So cute! Yes! Starting early is great. I'm going to start squirreling away things I find or make now for less stress and more joy
Thank you for sharing such a cute tablerunner.

Adorable!

This is an easy project with great results. Thank you. What is the fabric that you used - is it a collection?
It’s called Jolly Darlings by Ruby Star Society 👍🏻
I ordered a Ruby Star scrap pack from Amazon earlier this year and it was nice. I thought I'd order another scrap pack and see if I might get one that I liked better. Guess what ? Yep, got the same pack that I ordered the first time. Not complaining, just saying.
Oh nooooo that hasn’t happened to me yet!
When you do frankenbatting, do you ever have trouble with it stretching and not laying flat? I'm using a walking foot and still getting some waves.
I haven’t had that happen, but I know some brands are more stretchy than others. The ones I buy tend to be pretty stable. But there is an iron on tape product made just for this purpose, so you could try that!
Love these Christmas in July projects. Do you have a link to the scrap bags?
Here ya go :) amzn.to/4cIdXfi
@@PinCutSew thanks so much

I think I got that one in the late Fall last year.
❤❤❤
Nikki are those red or orange? I’m sure they are red but just wanted to be sure. Very cute
They are red 👍🏻
I'm a new viewer on your channel. I like this table runner a lot & will try it. I'd also like to see the tutorial for your mid century quilt you showed in this video. Would you please share the link?
I did not make a tutorial for that quilt but there is an existing pattern for one just like it called Birds of a Feather 👍🏻
What was the tool you used for your safety pins?
It’s called a Kwik Klip 👍🏻
How wide are the narrow strips that you used for the corners, pretty please?
They were all around 2-3”
Do you have a tutorial for the birds in the background?
I will in August! If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me for that 😆
@@PinCutSew I can't wait for that! Love your videos!
Nikki, can you share the pattern for your quilt in your living room?
There is a quilt pattern like it called Birds of a Feather 👍🏻
Am I seeing it right that you do not trim the corners off your rectangular fabrics after adding the wonky corner accents?
Correct, I do not! I would if I were using a lighter fabric and the ones underneath showed through.
I found you recently and have been enjoying all your tutorials. Your improv methods are new to me but are so freeing! Question- what was that tool that flashed quickly on the screen when you were pinning the pieces together?
I think you mean the Kwik Klip! It helps so much with pinning :) amzn.to/3Y60CZN
Yes!! I’ve never seen this. But now I know I NEED one!!
Oh no don't throw the selvedges away, those are just so pretty.
Don’t worry, I’ve saved them, I have a plan 👍🏻
