One neat detail I've noticed is that Frieren needs Fern to explain how much a certain amount of money is worth, in the form of what they can buy for it, presumably because she can't keep track of changing currencies and inflation, because of her long lifespan, the same way she explains how she can't be bothered to get certified with every magic organization, because they keep changing so often.
The way Sein drawn his battle magic out of a grimoire actually reminds me at how similar it is with a Summoner class in Final Fantasy XIV would attack their enemies. And when it comes to 'why it's always Stark?' thing... He's a frontliner-like a tank, and a tank takes all hits first, if you know what I mean. At least that's what I think.
That dance scene was so beautiful. Thanks so much, #LindsayRoutliffe, for uploading your reaction to this episode of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, and also for sharing your thoughts on the episode.
Sein get Cakezoned. Madhouse hire dancer from a danceschool just that animat0rs can observe how they dance. Evan Call developed for this scene an whole new waltz. Madhouse is on one lvl with Ufotable for my opinion. The book frieren choosed was a spell to make red apple green :D
i thought i had cried enough happy tears for the dance scene but something about your reaction triggered them once again - it's crazy how easily this anime gets to your emotions even for a character that was introduced in the same episode. thank you for reacting.
Frieren will soon become a grandma and always look after Stark and Fern's future children and grandchildren. That's how you stop her being alone in the distant future. The dance scene in the manga is only 1 panel and Mad House really went all out with animating it because there's no use of cgi. You are not alone that loves Frieren because it became the number 1 anime on myanimelist (MAL and very deserved!
I think a cool little parallel that not many seem to pick up is Himmel and Frieren both essentially taking way too long to figure out their "Reward" be it a statue or a grimoire... but something noticeable is that Frieren is slowly adapting and understanding the importance of time and being more quick to wrap things up
Hope you enjoyed the reaction! I am loving the magic system a lot and I know Dark Souls/Elden Ring didn’t like originate this kind of magic system buuuut I’ve just been obsessed with Elden Ring lately so I couldn’t help myself 😂 shoutout the all the soulsborne fans out there Also Stark and Fern…too cuuttteee
There is a pretty interesting video about how 'Record of Lodoss War' brought DnD style magic systems to Japanese fantasy, then essentially became the bible for western style fantasy in anime and JRPGs. Hence all the dang Demon Kings

@@lindsayroutliffe I loved Sein, he was such a great addition to the group and it would have been so cute to see him dance with Frieren after rejecting her ultimate seduction 😂
@@Hofundurr he was too powerful emotionally to stay with them all, I would’ve love to see him interact with all the mages (mostly Methode) in the first class mage arc
YES!! You should follow me on twitch (although I'll be making a new channel soon for gaming as well) cause I will be starting my Elden Ring playthough until the dlc comes out!! I'm so excited ommmg (also I'm going to be doing a Frieren build in Elden Ring hehe)

Oh wait that's such a neat detail!
Ooooooo that totally makes sense! My god that would be a lot to have to remember I get why she would rely on Fern more jeez
This is indeed a great little detail.

In many lores and fantasy theme. The 2 most common types of magic are arcane(knowledge based) and divine(faith based).
Can we appreciate how superb the dancing animation was? It was so smooth and realistic! And Fern and Stark were absolutely meant for each other😊
Yes!! The dancing animation was soooo beautiful and I agree I love them together so much
They hired professional dancers to model for the animators for this episode, apparently. Very impressive animation.

Your Frieren reactions are my favorite (and I watch a lot)!
omg thank you! I really appreciate that :)

the Fern and Stark content in this episode was almost too much to bear 😭 I wanted Frieren to dance so bad tho
I KNOW! like I get it there’s cake, but also a dance with Sein would’ve been adorable

That's Sein regular outfit. What he was wearing before was his winter outfit. I wonder how his summer outfit looks like 🤔
In head canon they stayed at least a week in the village so Sein could make sure, the villagers had no after effects of the curse.
Since the names are almost all in German, Stern is German word for star, which makes it a cool ship name😊
Is there a word for "Fark"? :P
Omg yeah is there a word for Fark?! But also Stern meaning star is adorable for them I love that
@@lindsayroutliffe apparently Fark is a Turkish word for gap or difference, which is also kinda fits with the gap between the two
Is that Frieren hair again? Thank you for sharing 😊
Ah it is similar to her hair at the dance! I will actually do that hairstyle for another episode though for sure, and thank you for watching!
17:57 "Date already!" - LoL, you are a bit early.
With all this Elden Ring discussion, will we get a playthrough of the DLC when it comes out in June? 😂

Indeed Frieren is hard to read. Just legends understand legends. The legendary mage Flamme, the legendary hero Himmel...
The party is missing a hero character 😊
Their party needs you..
Or it could be Fern & Stark, Fark
Hahahahahahaha ok I kind of love Fark
